I know that a lot of christians get sort of stuck on this topic of spiritual warfare and that when anything happens basically they want to cast out demons. Is this wrong what do you think. Is it necessary to an effective christian?

I kid you not. My in-laws are putting their house up and heard that a statue of a particular saint on your front lawn helps you get a better price. They want to know which saint's statue to purchase.

Disclaimer -- I neither know nor care if it works. Consider it a trivia question.

Leave the mind in its natural, undisturbed state. Don't follow thoughts of "This is a problem, that is a problem!"

Without labeling difficulties as problems, leave your mind in its natural state. In this way, you will stop seeing miserable conditions as problems.

Afterall - some are a little tedious. Perhaps the guy gets a bit tired of hearing how great he is - lets face it - He knows, He is God afterall. And then there are the tunes - some are a bit woeful and depressing.

Isaiah 52 vs 13-53 vs 12 He will be exaulted and made very high, but first he will be marred more than any man. He will be despised and rejected. All we like sheep have gone astray, but the Lord will place all our sins upon Him, He will lay down his life as a lamb, and make atonement for our souls. He shall see his seed (those who believe-we become the children of God-Jeremiah 31 vs 31 and following- "I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, not like the one i made with Moses, and ye shall be my people and i will be your God." Personal not one high priest once a year to bring the blood to cover our sins-Jesus took em all

Jesus said-"Behold i stand at your lifes door and knock, if ye repent from sin, and let me in, i will come in deliver you from sin and become your friend."

so i prayed-and a new wonderfull spiritual life in me began with the Messiah- Jesus im sorry for my sin, thanks for dying to forgive them and rising to come into my heart to be my friendAmen

Many people believe that some kind of "tribulations", "rapture", "salvation", "ascension" will happen then.

What is exactly supposed to happen?

Thx for your feelings & explanations - whatever they are.

Agree or disagree....

When people write questions - does it bother you that they don't take the time to spell check or to at least think the question out??

I just sit here looking at the question thinking.... what the hell.... Most of them call believers stupid but they fail to realize that their english is worse than a 6yr old and they are just making themselves look bad.

116. And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah.?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. (al-Maidah:116)

It seems her family, strict christians, were not satisfied with denying her the opportunity to see her son, or to resolve issues with me. They were not satisfied with denying me any opportunity to attend the service, or keeping my name out of the obituary.

Now they've removed my condolence from the webpage set up for that purpose.

How can anyone call themselves 'christian' with so much hatred in their hearts? Or is it because they have so much hatred that they need to cloak themselves in the trappings of christianity to hide the truth from themselves?

My wife told me more than once that she never had self-esteem as a child. She blamed her parents.

I'll never understand their hatred.
