Isn't that against the Commandment about "bearing false witness against thy neighbor?"

That maybe the whole bunch of you-or perhaps you could challenge the Muslims to a real Prayer WAR-Rather than have ALL Americans die for your religious beliefs that you are now pruporting to manifest through you majority vote over this FREE country-Why don't we all end the fiasco once and for all with a BIG DAY OF PRAYER FOR-winner takes all-We set a Date-say September the 11th 2006-and all Christians pray that Osama Bin Laden is instructed by Your God to reveal his place of hiding (He would do as Your God told him to do wouldn't he)-and then willingly pray that he turns in all of his men and their arms and ends his persecution of the world-Then We can ALL celebrate the victory in Jesus name and celebrate the end of a world gone mad over RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY-VIOLENCE-HATRED-and rejoice in the Brotherhood of Life and Celebrate OUR Mother Earths continued bounty of blessings upon those of us who have sacrificed the luxuries of materialistic desires as we grant The Christians their DAY AMEN!

Or is that a fundamentally meaningless question?
Does anyone believe in Newtonian physics? Or do we just accept as fact that objects in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force?

Does believing IN something imply more than merely agreeing that it is true? If so, then to compare "believing in" God with "agreeing with" evolution is kind of an apples vs oranges proposition. One is about having faith in a fundamentally unverifiable entity, and the other is about evaluating an overwhelming body of scientific data and deciding, intellectually, whether or not it is valid.

You can evaluate the data on whether or not God exists, just as you can evaluate the claim that species evolve through survival of the fittest. However, to "evaluate God" is nonsensical - a misuse of the English language.

If you can't evaluate a spiritual entity or believe in a scientific claim, then why do people keep trying to compare the two?

Say that you live in Alaska, and your future love of your life is in Australia. How does that work out?

I was out performing last night (street magician) and this guy comes up to me between shows and we start talking. The guy claimed to be a magician and wanted to start doing magic on the street as a way of witnessing to people. I was polite but pretty much blew him off because he didn’t feed my hat.

You don’t pay the hat.
You don’t get to chit chat.

Anyway, this morning I got to thinking. What we (magicians) do as a form of entertainment is deceive people. Or in my case, I swindle them in fun games of chance (I do give them their money back after they take a pounding in the 3 Shell game). But a magician is out there to deceive folks. That is what we do.

Is this a good way to present a Christian message? What do you think?

They spread the same propaganda and have the same goals. A world government with their ideology. And of course, to wipe all jews from the planet (many liberals and socialists want this also).

Okay... don't hate me because of this because I'm just curious about other people's opinions on this... so...
Do you believe in God? Why?
Do you not believe in God? Why?
Do you believe in another person? Why?
Is God just a part of the human brain that makes us want to do good?
Is the devil a way to scare humans into doing good and being a good person?

All opinions are welcome!

It seems kind of whacked out that it started as a Hebrew-only religion and that their prophesized savior came and only made a brand new religion for everybody. It's like... so WHY were the Hebrews involved in this? HOW did this help them out? I feel like I'm tripping just typing this out!

Does the "you couldn't make this stuff up" factor reinforce your faith? Are you likely to hear about it in sermons?

A lot of people are making a killing selling books, videos, and speaking about end time bible prophecy.

A lot of them claim near infallibility with their personal interputations of end time events from the bible, and there are HUNDREDS. Such as the 4 time divorced Hal Lindsey. He has written several books, videos etc. Unfortunatly, his interputations have changed so much overtime, you can't keep track. His 1st major book, "the late great planet earth", has had several revisions....including book dedications to two of his wives!

Do you people believe guys like this, or is it just to make money?

The BIBLE says, "FIRST OF ALL, YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THIS, THAT NO PROPHECY OF SCRIPTURE IS A MATTER OF ONE'S OWN INTERPUTATION. 2 Peter 1:20

If not, why do we say that all Muslims are terrorists like Al Quada?

The deeds of the few do not speak for the minds of the many. Most Muslems don't even consider those committing terrorist acts true Muslems, the same way Christians don't see KKK members as true Christians.

Some say the Koran is full of verses about "killing infadels" and such. Well, so is the Bible. Is the Bible "full of hate" too?

What are your thoughts on this?

Men cannot give birth to living beings (we can make things, and we're needed to help create a child, but to the ancients, Life is brought forth through women alone).

Were/are some men so envious of this ability that they needed to assert the existence of a male deity who 'gave birth' to the universe?

If someone sins against me, presumably I feel hurt in some way, and I REALLY resent the idea that GOD can forgive the perpetrator and absolve that sin!

If you hurt ME, it's ME you should come to to make amends and ask MY forgiveness! And until you do so, if I am still hurting, you should still have it on your conscience!!!

Do you think its right that God should assume to forgive on my behalf, or that perpetrators of sins can only be forgiven by their victims?

Some religous groups preach the "faith alone" salvation plan. If you have enough faith-then nothing will keep you out of heaven.

Interesting.

The bible says, "You see that a man is justified by works and not faith alone." James 2:24
