Paul: Unless you want to argue that their are spiritual concepts uniquely "male" and "female", I do not see a need to insist god is "male". My own belief is that all spiritual concepts can be contained within males and females equally. Certainly when the obstetrician announces "it's a boy" he/she does so based on the existence of a penis. So why claim god is "male" unless there is some reason to believe 'he' has a penis?

this is a good question, i wonder why people are not going for the answer but saying some other things. Since the question was what use does god have for a penis if i insist he is a male. My answer would be same use as male on earth, but god being great he uses his in great ways...when he urinate it comes on men who live on earth and we call it rain, once he used his penis to **** a woman (MARY) a great King was born whose rein shall last forever...if not ******* and urinating what else do you use ur penis for and God did the both

Personaly I would think God is a black female.
But those who think God is male, the thesys is that there is no Goddess since they think there is only one God. Therefore the penis would be to jerk off.

However I think we refer to God as male, (God the Father that is) because it's proper language, always masculine voice first.
Also Jesus Christ was male, and according to all Christians he is also God!
