yes...he knew what was going to happen when he put the tree there.i was planned for them to be able to "see the world and themselves as they were"..it was from that situation that they had children, and so forth ...without that situation ,,it would still just be adam and eve.

If Adam and Eve wouldn't have eatten the forbidden fruit then the story wouldn't have been as interesting and they wouldn't have sold as many copies. And then become the biggest selling fiction ever written.

The majority of answers here say, "yes." If that is true, do you see the problem here? God deliberately set a trap for humans knowing that they would fall into that trap. Once snared, he then punished them for doing what he knew they would do. Does the phrase "passive aggressive" mean anything to you? "Toxic parenting," ring a bell?
If this is your loving god, I'm not buying. Why would anybody worship such a thing?
