This is to you, religious people. Most of you aren't asking a question because you don't know the answer. You ask to try to start an argument, and whomever you pick as the best answer is the person who tells you the answer you're most comfortable with--the one that agrees with what you already believe.
Hear that people! If you want a best answer, just write something that agrees with the asker. Then you'll get your points.

There are rare occasions in which a child is born with extra genitalia...most often boys are born with 2 um... you know ;)

Most often than not it is not functional but either way it is abnormal. I'm genuinely curious, Believers, do you think God made your baby this way, and if so would you keep the extra....member... attached? Or would you have it removed because it shouldn't be there? (but if it shouldn't be there why would God make him like that?)

(There is no health risk in having it BTW)

I mean, the important part is that Jesus died for our sins, right? So why did it have be so painful? Couldn't he have died in his sleep of a massive heart attack or a stroke? Maybe he could have been crushed to death by a boulder, or eaten some bad fish. Why crucifiction? I think Jesus must have been a masochist, or else he just would have hanged himself for our sins or something less painful.

Does God feel just a wee bit jealous?

2006-09-01 06:12:16 · 11 answers · asked by CJunk 4

a.) God as a separate entity. He rules in Heaven and demands our worship. For those who praise His name, they will achieve eternal bliss.

b.) God – the union of all things created. He exist in His creation. Consequently, you wouldn't have to love and worship God as a separate entity; you just had to love your fellow man as you love yourself and that would suffice.

Please do not pick both. Although you can believe in both versions of God, there has to be one that you identify with more than the other. Thanks.

I asked this question a little while ago and got few responses, so I'm calling out people whom I respect to get some insight.

A study published in 2001 in a major medical journal (The Lancet) about Near Death Experiences (NDE). The authors concluded that "Several theories have been proposed to explain NDE. We did not show that psychological, neurophysiological, or physiological factors caused these experiences after cardiac arrest." In other words, the body does not necessarily produce all aspect of consciousness. Sited supporting research also showed accurate descriptions of hospital rooms, etc., verifiably during the time of flat lined EEG, by patients born blind!

These researchers offered another theory that "NDE might be a changing state of consciousness (transcendence), in which identity, cognition, and emotion function independently from the unconscious body, but retain the possibility of non-sensory perception."

Do you consider the prophesized events surrounding the end of the world (tribulation, mark or the beast, Anti-Christ, rapture, etc) a vital and central part of your faith?

As stated in this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=ApA5M9VDf8LFg2aUxlhupAhIzKIX?qid=20060901095716AASpixZ

"There are over 200,000 species of vegetation on planet earth. Humans can eat only roughly 1,000 of these species (about 1/2 a percent)."

And yet Genesis 6.3 states that:

"Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything."

So to reword the original questioner:

"It appears that the creation process failed humanity in this respect and that the theory of god does not hold true in this case."

Please, dont bother answering with cliches, I know very well my criticism of humanities greatest plague (Islam) is not PC. If you must answer in objection, just type "I hate you" and leave it there, at least you dont repeat a cliche like "Dont blame the whole for a few you racist (i havent studied this issue, but i like this cliche)"

Humanity cannot afford Islam anymore. Period. I advocate exhausting every possible peaceful means to remove the cancerous mythology from the world, but it is clear, that the most humane, most responsible position for all educated people in the world, is to assist in the removal of this cancer.

Homo-sapiens are but a species, like homo-nederthals waaaasssss. We can very easily be exstinguished as a species. The prot-catholic wars were a joke...the inquistion was a joke...but only the most extreme wackos would deny that all religions BUT Islam have evolved.

Almost all armed conflict worldwide is Islam and it may never "evolve". Study it.

The theory of evolution holds that every species of animal life had equal opportunity to evolve into an intelligent being. However, out of the millions of species, only one has reached the level of humans. Why don't we have intelligent bird species? Why haven't other species evolved like humans with wings (they would clearly have advantage over todays foot walking humans). How about, "humans" with eyes on the back of their heads, or smart fish. The theory of evolution which basis itself on random processes does not seem to provide an effective answer that only one intellligent species evolved out of the millions. The rules of probablility and statistics do not support the idea of random mutations as it applies to intelligent humans.

This is why the majority of pure british are holding up flights. If Muslims make travelers nervous, it’s not without cause.

Would you be more likely to have an anxiety attack at 20,000 feet if the passenger seated next to you was: A) An Irish nun saying the Rosary? B) A Mormon missionary in regulation white shirt and narrow, black tie? C) A Hari Krishna in a standard-issue saffron robe? or D) A bearded bloke of Middle Eastern complexion holding a well-thumbed Koran?....honest answers please
