Pope means father. The recognized father of agnosticism is the french playwrite Francois Voltair. The person who coined the term "agnostic' is a religious skeptic from the turn of last century, Thomas Huxley. We could look at who is carrying on in thier line of thought to pick a Pope.

Most definitely not! The Pope is the puppet of a religious institution, one with a bloody, regrettable past, and with a future stunted by its closed-mindedness.
To have an Agnostic Pope would be to demand institutionalisation, with rules and regulations.
Spirituality is individual and personal. No institution can claim to understand or dictate the processes to "enlightenment" to any person.
Religion is each our own.

Agnostics don't believe any religion is entirely correct, although they believe in the possibility of God or some higher power. Therefore, since they can't be organized under any commonly held belief (other than everybody else is wrong), you can't have a leader or figurehead. I suppose the most appropriate person to have ever come close to being the leader of the agnostics would be Jospeh Campbell, who was the preeminent authority in comparative religion and world myths.

The agnostics on this site already have one: TWSID?R!
He is your best representative, and already has an offical fan club, whereas your fanclub is only unofficial as of yet.
You can vote for him by joining his fanclub, then you will follow the guidance of His Doubtfulness TWSID?R.
He only has one rule: ask What should I do after every question.
Char also recognizes His Doubtfulness as the one true agnostic leader here!

i think the agnostic pope is the dali lama, buddhists are agnostic, and he acts as thier pope, actually hes more than a pope, hes a buddha reincarnated.
The dalai lama is a reincarnated teacher, not Buddha reincarnated. He is the true leader of Tibet, not the leader of the Buddhist religion. We have no leader.

For each and all of the "enlightened" concept you think of you own, you tutor an absolute lack of expertise of philosophy, theology and medical concept. You do comprehend that the Catholic Church, it is the biggest Christian employer interior the worldwide, teaches that evolution is a medical actuality. It has in no way taught that the Bible became literal in terms of introduction. Catholics are not moving far off from twentieth century concept through fact twentieth century concept held the evolution is medical actuality albeit with an ex nihilo beginning up. And in the previous you leap and down and say "see see which potential they think of God began all of it" perhaps you may desire to study the centuries long philosophical discussions and arguments for and against ex nihilo. extremely than "moving away" from all of those meant "archaic" techniques, present day-day Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Buddhist etc are in simple terms persevering with the communicate that began centuries in the past. in comparison to a pair people who're so particular that they understand each and all of the solutions. ultimately, atheism isn't a great of trend as you think of. basically 4-11% of the U.S. inhabitants is seen atheistic/non non secular and no you may rather define what the words potential subsequently the 7% p.c. unfold. i've got faith for rather some human beings, their "atheism" has much less to do with faith and God and extra with what they arrive across as "sticking it to the guy" very reminiscent of all those teenagers on college campuses with Rasta shirts and Che shirts and who have not got any thought what Che Guevara stood for and what Rastafariansim rather is.

Agnosticism isn't a religion, It's a statement of knowledge... rather a statement of lack of knowledge.
You can be agnostic about anything. I'm agnostic that reindeer can fly. I'm pretty sure they can't but i can't test all reindeer of all time to find out that one might be able to.
So to answer your question... since agnostics aren't a religious group, they don't require a religious figurehead.... No pope.

I'll do it , if I can just do it on weekends. After all, I am fairly busy already.
Call me Her Holiness, Popess Riot the Oneth.
I want a bullet-proof horse and a cat with red toe-nails. Oh, and a geisha girl to walk on my back. I'm happy.
