Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Israel but was raised in Galilee in the town of Nazereth. Judea and Israel at the time were different entities. Jew is of modern coinage meaning someone from Judea or someone adhering to the religion of Judea which at the time of Jesus was the religion of the Pharisees. If you remember the gospel Jesus often bashed the Pharisees. If you look up modern Judaism you will see that it is based on Phariseeic "Judaism." Jesus adhered to the religion of Israel which wasn't as beurocratic as the Pharisee religion that he rebuked. "King of the Jews" was never his title. The Latin transcription was an insult and it actually stated "King of Judea" which was to mock the people of that land.

the koran doesn't change nor do the words of allah...right...

The words of the Lord are perfect in truth and justice;
there is NONE who can change His words.
He both heareth and knoweth.
-- Sura 6:115
None can change the words of God;
-- Sura 6:34

There is no changing the words of God;
that is the mighty triumph.
-- Sura 10:64

And recite what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord,
there is none who can alter His words;
and you shall not find any refuge besides Him.
-- Sura 18:27

What's this?

And for whatever verse we abrogate and cast into oblivion
We bring a better or the like of it;
knowest thou not that God is powerful over everything?
-- Sura 2:106
And when We exchange a verse in place of another verse --
and God knows very well what He is sending down --
they say, 'Thou art a mere forger!'
Nay, but the most of them have no knowledge.
-- Sura 16:101
so did allah have a new revelation with himself later...so he can change the koran

there has been roughly 730,000 days elapsed since the Baby Jesus popped into existence..the odds of winning the state lottery in England are 40 million to one...Good Christian folk talk with certainty of the second coming definitely happening...if they happen in the next hundred years it will be too late (given the calamities that will befall the planet with certainty in this period)...so the probabilty is only at best 20% of you actually winning the lottery: where is your money gonna go -will you bet your life savings on him appearing? I will cover your bets if you do...

I was reading an article about Christian Conservatives making intelligent design a top priority. And that they would like to see it taught in school as a viable option. Im a christian and I feel this is just terrible news, this to me is the equivalant of when you here certain Christians deny the dinosaurs existed because it is "not in the bible" or that evolution did not happen once again because it is "not in the bible".

I have these converstaions many a time with many people and I liken this movement against science to a self imposed blinding.

I feel Christians are acting very very insecure and scared that a different opinion will hurt/destroy the religion when in all actuality it should do nothing more than reinforce the religion.

Intel. Design is a theory it need not be taught in a science class when kids should be learning "real" scientific studies. Not some theory which is religion uner a scientific banner. We should be more secure than that especially if you believe.

I believe in God and have excepted Jesus into my life. To many things have happened in my life for me to ignore his workings with me. I still have nagging questions though that need answer or the best that anyone can do here on earth. My biggest concern is that if God is perfect and without sin then how could he create something like the devil. The saying goes you cant get an apple from a orange tree. How could he create something as flawed as Lucifer not metion all the angels who followed him unless he did this on purpose? But how could he do it on purpose when he knows no evil(sin). As far as i am concerned everything that comes from God should be perfect. Lucifer was said to be prideful but how could that be unless God put this pride within him to start with. But that would mean that God Is Flawed as well. Any thoughts?

Africa has become ground zero for human suffering. There's a lack of food, drinking water, and medicine all throughout the continent. Children are forced into service as soldiers as soon as they can carry a gun. Families are ripped apart. Millions are dying of AIDS. What organizations are you involved in?

I suggest visiting www.invisiblechildren.com if you're looking to get involved.

In 1995, after a series of secretive meetings, Jerry Falwell, a hypocritical member of the christian right, accepted a 3.5 million dollar donation from the Rev. Sun Myung Moon. This donation was gladly accepted to "save" Liberty University.

Here is one of MANY net links describing this very donation and their relationship. A pic is included-
http://www.freedomofmind.com/stevehassan/presskit/articles/parry1.htm

Rev Moon, is the head of the moonie church. He believes he is the reincarnated Jesus Christ, claims Jesus failed because he didn't procreate, is a sexual pervert, believes America is the reaping of satan's harvest, and supports the Republican party. He is a major global arms dealer! HE ALSO CLAIMS HE IS THE MESSIAH!

Don't you think it's hypocritical for Jerry Falwell to accepted a donation from Rev Moon- a false preacher? OR is it just another example of how low some right wing televangelists will go to get their hands on more precious money?

Jim Darwin in his book, in his book, said it is absurd to think that the eye, which all of its great functions, to think that it could evolve. It is so complex. This is straight form his "origins" book. He admitted it had to have been created, and not evolve.
