tau165,
I'm not a biblicall expert, but I think you may be getting some of your teachings mixed a little bit. You asked how could God (the father) create the devil if he is perfect and without sin. I believe it would be more accurate to say that Jesus (the son) was perfect and w/o sin.
You also made a statement saying that God know no evil (sin). But it says in the bible that God created the tree that gave knowledge of good and evil. I don't think he could make that tree if he didn't have that knowledge himself.
I think your question was very thoughtful.
I think that everything that God does or allows to happen is done intentional. I think that he knew what he was doing when he put a prideful additude in Lucifer believe that he allowed Lucifer to turn against him, tempt Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge, etc.
In my opinion, God intended for the devil to lure us humans into sin. I think he knows the dangers of sin and where our actions of sin where will lead us to. But he allows it to happen anyway.
I can understand if it doesn't sound like a logical plan for humanity. I feel that the reasoning behind it from the very start was that this had to happen to show us that we need God, we need Jesus, and until we know that for ourselves there is no saving us.
Let's say your kid likes to wander off when you are shopping. You being a parent, know that there are so many things that can happen to a child that walks off. he can get lost, kidnapped, injured if you're not there to protect him. Dispite all your warnings, pleas, begging, and punishing this kid still wanders away from you.
Maybe the only solution is to let the kid wander off and do his thing. You would still watch over him but a distance so can't see you. After a while the kid where wonder where his father is. If the kid cannot see the father a feeling of being lost will sink in. The child will then try to seek out the father and find him. Once that kid finds him it will be a sure bet he will never leave his father's side again. Lesson learned.
I feel that God watching over his kids from a distance so we can experience the dangers of "wandering" for ourselves. He is letting his children "do their thing" so once we realize we are lost without him, we will never leave his side.

If a perfect god existed your question would not be possible. these are just ancient old stories told by not-very-good storytellers, which is why they are so full of flaws and holes like the one you identify (I could suggest a raft of more).
Follow the teachings of Jesus by all means, for it is on record that he was a good man; but he wasn't the son of any god, he was just a good and wise man. Forget perfection - since you have already discovered that god isn't perfect it proves that god does not exist. Life a good life according to Jesus, or adopt secular humanism, and you need not concern yourself with the contradictions of a load of ancient superstitions any more.

You mean you have "accepted" Jesus... was that a spelling error?
God created the angels to have free choice. That is how great His Love really is! He did not want to create machines. He wanted to have a relationship with us. He is an artistic creator. So He gave the angels a choice and unfortunately Satan turned his back on God.

I was taught to belive that god is not a perfect god, after all Jesus is just a man , and all men have flaws and give into temptation. Therefore, the devil, was created to tempt the son of God as he temps all mankind on earth. Your faith and the path you choose is your decission, resisting temptation is a test of our faith from the forces of the darker side.

You speak of the evil of the devil, but you leave out the evil done by human beings, including yourself.
The only answer to your confusion is that God gave us the free will to do what is right or what is wrong. God does not create evil. We "create" evil when we chose to not love God or our neighbor. God does not make us choose evil, He just gave us the capability to choose evil. he also gave us the capability to choose good.

you've accepted , but u have doubts, ie; the evil problem.
Once u become an agnostic or atheist that problem becomes very clear. Evil is what society agrees upon.
