We r the Only CHRISTIAN church that is true. DID U HEAR ME CHRISTIAN. Why does everyone believe we are not christians when our name is focused on Christ. Mormon is a name of a prophet. NOT a religion. We are the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints that is our name. WE are the only ones on this god given earth that have his divine authority to act in his name Jesus Christ.

I have a friend who is very interested in the Seventh Day Adventist religion and she was telling me all about it and about how they do not wear makeup or jewelry. Why is this? I don't want to seem unsupportive but really...does God care about makeup and jewelry? If Seventh Day Adventist believe so...what about makeup and jewelry is wrong and why?

With much respect I ask this question. Everyone has the right to be here, but this question goes to the people who come here regularly who don't believe in any Higher Power nor have a religion. Why are you really here? What do you seek here?

Are you here simply because you are curious and you find it a little mysterious that there are people in your society who believe in a higher being and have a religion, and you are curious to know how that works, or how religious people are, or how they think?

It is hard for you to find that kind of information where you live, or are you ashamed of asking and find this forum the perfect place to learn, even though you don't agree with it?

Tell me mature answers please, also tell me something I don't know. I have been using this forum for months and I am a little tired of the reasons people give me of why are there here.

There is a better reason behind that.

ok, yesterday I got pissed and ranted after I kept getting told I was going to hell because I don't believe in Jesus, now I'm being told I'm a whacko because I have spiritual beliefs!

WHY DO SOME ATHIESTS TRY TO TELL ME THAT I SHOULD ACCEPT THEIR EXPERIENCES OVER MY OWN? THAT IS COMPLETELY ILLOGICAL!! ARE THEY TOO SCARED TO ADMIT THAT THERE JUST MIGHT BE SOMETHING GREATER THAN YOURSELF OR YOUR PRECIOUS SCIENCE?

please note that I said some athiests, and that I am not a Christian. I am an eclectic whose beliefs fall closest to Paganism and Wicca.

I don't tell anybody that they have to believe they way I do, but I don't like being told either that I am going to hell or that I am a nut that belongs in the mental ward. I wouldn't expect you to believe in the spiritual if you have never experienced it, but I have.

By telling me that I am crazy you are shoving your beliefs down my throat just as much as those who tell me I'm going to hell!

What do you all think?

Each time you talk about your "God", you feel like every human on Earth should feel connected to the deity you worship.

Why don't you even respect non-christian Believers and keep trying to worship your "God" instead of theirs?

I don't understand such an intolerance & disrespect. Please explain me.

Okay, first of all my nickname is God's Strength as you can see. Hello everybody. Now on to what I have to say. I found out that the story of Adam and Eve with Eve eating the apple and convincing Adam to do the same which was naughty by nature. Well, guess what folks? That's because women (No offense) are naughty by nature. Think about it, Why are women always attracted to bad boys sexually and nice guys get ran over or overlooked by females and not naturally attracted to them. The Adam and Eve story was a similie of the universal laws of attraction between a man and a woman. She's naturally evil. Women, get jealous of each other, they backstab each other, compete for men all the time, and are very possessive creatures of the Earth. She wants what she can't have and remember God told Adam and Eve don't eat the Apple, they were tempted. In modern times, women are tempted by the bad boy and that's why they're attracted to them and not nice guys. Amazing discovery I found out. True?

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".

"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you."
[Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."
[Deuteronomy 14:8]

A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

Proven Facts: -
1. Consumption of pork causes several diseases
2. Pork has fat building material
3. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth
4. Pig is the most shameless animal

Propaganda is propaganda, but there are always at least two sides to every story. Without an accepted alternative view, manipulation and control is all that remains.

When asked what religion I am I always say Christian because I feel all the names of denominations are manmade. The bible doesn't say Apostolic, Pentecostal, Baptist and so on. If we follow Christ that makes us Christians so we should all go by Christians, right? Well, I am chastised by my husband alot by not saying what denomination am. Do you feel I am right or wrong? He thinks I am disowning my faith.

Think about it, aren't most religious people whacko? There's no distiction between the voice of God in the days of old and the schizophrenic in the nearest psych ward hearing voices who thinks he's Jesus.

I won't ask why you left your religion because I am actually glad that you did. Religion is not what He asked us to have in the first place. He asked us to have faith in Him and believe that He is. He did not ask us to be methodist or pesbiterian or catholic or any thing else that's out there. He asked us to be followers of Him. All those things came from men who decided to make up thier own form of faith to try to get us to live by rules. Why? There are no rules in Christ. Only promises that come from God if we accept Christ and live as family on this earth.
Point being that if you could find that one church that represents Jesus for who He really, is would you go? To be in a church is to be covered in prayer because when one hurts we all hurt and when one is rejoicing we rejoice together.
That is family ...that is the kingdom of God. Forget about your sins and what ever else someone condemned you for. God doesn't care about that. He loves you right where you are at.

That was Pt.1

So based on the 1 answer I recieved, would you be better off not going to church and just instead studying the Bible and believing in God on your own terms? Wouldn't you be safer that way?

Is this person's question philosophically unnassailable? Is evolution just a science fiction?

With logic like this, why do we mock God and Christians?

Or, are we not brainwashed, because of things like evidence and repeatable scientific expiriments.
