depends on where you live...in MA there is a "families in transition" organization. also look for womens shelters they will take you in.

You don't state where you live so it is a bit hard to advise.
Most places have local agencies that will assist people in their time of need. There are also quite a few churches that have programs to help as well.

I dont know if you have Department of Jobs and Family Services but if you do you can try to apply for a PRC (Prevention, Retention, Contingency) assistance. If eligible then will pay up to $1000 towards your rent. Check online under your county and you will know.

Go to your local Catholic Church (even if you are not Catholic). They will have a social ministry office that will be able to help you out.
