God asks that of you because He loves you. You don't have to love Him back, but you should. Satan is the devila and Satan is bad!! I would rather have several demands placed upon me than none because then it all actually means something!! If you do nothing, then there's no point!

Satan demands that you don't believe, trust and love God, because he wants you in the lake of fire with him on the day of judgement, I would rather live in heaven for eternity than go to an eternal pit of tormit, wouldn't you? or are you just dumb enough to bileive that God would judge you for following the enemy?

Woah, thats an amazingly good point. I'm joining the Dark Side now. Seriously though. I guess those demands are put on you to prove you are a good person... Satan has the easy way out.

Well, forget about all that. Just do what u think is best for u, don't worry about god or satan. If ur a good person, even if u don't go to church every other day, if there is a god he/she/it will see it. So do what u think is best for u, whether its choosing a religion or not.

You know the answer to this is quite simple. You have to work at believing in God, but satan is like electricity, he takes the path of least resistance. Can you not see that?

Ummm actually he (God) promises us more for loving him. And oh-by-the-way Lucifer wants our soul so I would rather have a few requests from God for 70ish yeas than give my soul to Satan for all eternity.

Where did you get the God asking this and that from?

I don't get it.

Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

I see that He gave not asks. I see gift. You must be using another language.

The Grace wasn't yours and the Faith wasn't yours.

well...you get what you give, so id rather be demanded to believe, trust and love..although that is sometimes easier said than done..but the nothingness of a empty heart is far too painful so i chose to believe

But the question is, won't God's demands benefit me in the end (not heaven necessarily, but happiness).
