Jihad means struggle. The types of Jihad are by heart, by tongue, by hand, and by sword.

The first type if Jihad, by heart, is fighting the devilish persuasions to become evil.

The second type, by tongue, is correcting the wrong and making things right.

The third kind of Jihad, by hand, is also making things right and fixing the wrong.

The fourth kind which by sword is to wage war to spread the religion of Islam.

Well Jihad in Arabic and originally in the Koran is just the word used for struggle. Something like a mental struggle to overcome the will to do something bad, like sleeping with your friend’s wife. It only came to mean a physical struggle under the hand of Saladin and his predecessor, his name escapes me now, but they changed it to mean war in defense of your home. I’d take it to mean a physical Jihad against something.

It means run for the hills, if you see any of them driving a plane.
Don't be in any very tall buildings.
Install bomb detectors in all the public buildings.
That is what it means.
