Each time you talk about your "God", you feel like every human on Earth should feel connected to the deity you worship.

Why don't you even respect non-christian Believers and keep trying to worship your "God" instead of theirs?

I don't understand such an intolerance & disrespect. Please explain me.

Hon, that's like talking about all people disliking chocolate ice cream. Using words like EVERY, ALWAYS, NEVER, etc. is a bad idea. I'm Christian and know each person has the right and God given ability to choose what they will believe whether or not it coincides with my beliefs. May you find the Truth. ~Nisa

I have answered questions on here on this before but other than that I keep my stuff to myself not unless asked, Personally I don't think it is my business what other people believe or don't . I don't understand a non christian life and my religion is a reflection of what I personally believe and that is fine for me. I don't see what you see really, if it is put out there for debate then yes you are going to see people defending what they believe in but in everyday life I don't see a problem. Religion is a touchy subject even among people from the same church. It is a personal thing between you and what ever you believe that is why it is always such a hot topic, different people different thoughts. I have lots of friends that are atheist and really what ever, to each their own it is none of my business.

Non-believers threaten their beliefs. Deep-down the believers know there's really nothing to support their beliefs. The only arguments they have are emotional ones, not factual.

Therefore, their leaders have to keep pounding into their heads that those who don't believe as they do are evil and awful people. They have to believe that us non-believers are truly unhappy and corrupted in order to justify their religion.

If they thought those of us who don't believe as they do have basically the same lives as those who worship their superstitions, then it really takes away a lot of weight from those emotional arguments they use. So, they keep telling themselves how awful it is to be an unbeliever or a believer of a different religion.

Of course, the flip side of this is a strong intolerance for those of different beliefs. Recent studies have shown atheists to be the least tolerated religious stance, though the most tolerant of other religious beliefs. That's because we aren't really threatened by religions, unless someone gets into power who can force their nonsense on us.

Here's a good example---
I'm with a group of ladies who are talking about how they spent their weekend and eventually they ask me what I did.... I tell them I cleaned house on Saturday and went to church Sunday and had a wonderful time ...immediately I'm verbally attacked and accussed of preaching the gospel to them and I am wrong and there's no God. So where's respect for me ? why the intolerance?
All I did was mention what I did on the weekend.

Jefferey_S and STEPHEN_J, Christianity is not the only religion with Gods, you know.

I agree with you.I mean, I respect all religions and their Gods. I have never tried to convert someone into another religion. But I have met Christians who tried to convert me into a Christian. They think that I cannot get into Heaven if I am not a Christian...(Please Christians, don't get angry,I'm not trying to be racist...I said some Christians, not all...sorry if I offended anyone...)

It's puzzling me too... :s

I know people like that but all of us aren't like that. In my opinion you should do what you want & believe whatever you want to believe but if you ask a question regarding certain beliefs, I'll answer with what I believe. We should have a mutual respect for each others opinions & beliefs. Notice I said a MUTUAL respect.

You have to give respect to get respect. I belive in God. I also belive that someone who belives in God and someone who doesn't can respect eachother. All any of us can do that belive in God can do is give you the information you need to decide whether you belive in God and want to be saved and go to heaven. We can't make you do anything. I only have ONE GOD and I belive that God belongs to all.

Just for the record I have alot of friends that are not saved and that don't belive in God. However I feel that it isn't Godly of me to not be there friend because of that. I don't think that is something God would want. I feel that God would rather me be a friend and show him to them over time, thru me (and that doesn't mean preaching).

Oh wow, THIS question again, that appears here at least 50 times a day.

Do you mean that all Christians do not respect others? If so you're wrong. And if we try to talk to them about God, it's because we want to help them. I don't know why I wasted my time with this, I guess it's just because I'm killing time until lunch hour!

God Bless!

I think you have that backwards

Nearly all aspects of American life tries to put down Christianity.

Take Christ out of Christmas
Take Ten Commandments away
Take pray away
Now in California it is required to teach Homosexuality and you cannot even speak out if you believe it is wrong
Many Many other examples

It's not a matter of trying to make anyone do anything. You can't make a choice without imformation.
