can u trust your conclusion if you think that youve found him?

if u seek god with all ur heart - then u must be pretty sure he exists. So u did not start ur search from a neutral - open minded position. You already knew god existed before u started seeking him. So there really was no point in the whole exercise.

Would anyone seek santa claus or the tooth fairy with all their heart?

Eccesiastes 11:5 (Amplified Bible Version)
"As you know not what is the way of the wind, or how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you know not the work of God, Who does all"
Could this be interpreted to mean that a fetus does not acquire a "spirit" or soul at conception, but becomes a living human later in pregnancy after bone tissue has started to form? This would infer that a very young fetus is not alive and abortion would not breach the Commandment "Thou shall not murder"
This is a genuine query.I am not trying to offend or to be a wise guy by asking this.
I should also point out that other versions of the Bible give a different translation, often making seperate reference to the wind and how a fetus forms rather than to acquiring a spirit.
The older versions however that I remember, talk about "breathing life into the bones in the womb". I would be interested to hear a bibical scholars interpretation of how this passage reads in the origi

I'd like you to read (or re-read) Matthew, but when you see the words "God" or "Father" I'd like you to substitute the word "Love".

My question: Is Jesus' message any less relevant if he was speaking of "Love" but used "God" and "Father" because they were more easily understood (and more compelling) for his audience?

I'll extend the expiration date for this question so you will have a week to read Matthew. You may want to mark this question to make it easier to find it when you're ready to answer.

I hope there are a few, amongst all those who are just seeking a quick 2 points, who will accept this challenge.

Thank you.

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

homosexuality is a good example of an unnatural phenomenon.it is against god's design. god created adam and eve and not adam and steve. inspite of the nimerous theories put forth by gay activists,we cannot find any of the animals created by the lord to be homsexual in nature. i have never heard of homosexual dogs, cats, frogs or horses. the penis was intended to be naturally inserted into the vigina and not into a rectum packed with faeces. so now my question is why should a right thinking man allow himself to be decieved into becoming a
