I agree with you - some people might just feel insignificant under one umbrella (although thats what we need - sort of) and need some attention, so if it were categorized then maybe some people would get help much faster since all you need to do is to go to the category of your choice (or faith, more or less). When everyone gives their opinion, how are we supposed to tell yahoo! answers what should be done?

I have learned a lot reading Yahoo Q&A. Even the really dumb questions teaches us how people really think when they have nothing else to do. People wear a false mask when talking face to face. But put them behind a computer by themselves and they take that mask off and just be themselves.
Jesus said go out into the world and preach the gospel. Yahoo is a good place to do that. This was impossible 20 years ago. Prepare to meet God. Time is short.

Yes, what is religion after all, if not divisive?
I think that "gestures of outreach" is a euphemism for proselytizing, and that this is not the place for that. If people want to convert others, they can do so elsewhere. It is possible to share your doctrine with others without trying to convert them. Those who cannot control their compulsion to spread whatever word they're selling can do it somewhere else.
What I think that people who want their own little rooms really want is a haven, where everyone agrees with them, reinforces their beliefs, and doesn't expose them to anything they don't want to think about. That way, they can pretend that their subset is the only true religion, and that nothing else exists.

Religion is crucial and it definately falls under the umbrella of society. religion make people - people make society. its a chain and it cannot be further divided. Religion has to be shared and people who are in a particular religion, has no rights to impose or descriminate another religion. each individual has his/ her own rights. no compulsion in religion. if this is clear, no one will look down on another. i personally feel that anyone can write in to ask and query anything pertaining to religion, but honestly it must be a sincere ones and someone who is asking, not to provoke or to smear another religions.

Yahoo is not a serious place for questions or answers. I just got a violation notice for asking a troll what planet he was from. A friend of mine got kicked off of hear for posting scriptures in this thread. As long as someone posts nasty vile vulgar language, and racial slurs yahoo doesn't care. I've been reporting a guy from Germany for 3 months every day for violations and yahoo lets him continue to post.

Firstly I am a Christian and belong to Christ
If I understand you correctly
You would like to have different denominations different faiths different Religions
Christianity I feel does not belong to a denomination
Jesus was of the Jewish people
What I am saying is we belong to Christ Jesus not to a denomination
Are we saying the same thing
You would like a Section for Christians is that what you mean

Ever hear the phrase-United we stand, divided we fall?
This section may not be very constructive but its never good to segregate people. Plus if you made separate religions go to separate groups the people who like to post nasty remarks etc would just go in there and annoy you even more. Different religions would probably be specifically targeted.

Okay with me. We could have a section for the "A" religion, a section for the "B" religion, a section for the "C" religion, and one for religions who are respectful of all religions. Those of the "A", "B", or "C" religions who intrude on the last section would be reported since they have their own section to ask/answer questions. I hope that Yahoo grants your request and that you will be so happy there that you will no longer have to be in a section where other beliefs are discussed.

Discussing our personal religions is not an 'outreach'. By saying that, are you implying that you are only here to convert others? How interested are you in learning about the many different expressions of the human spirit if that is your true intent. You're just here to pimp your Middle Eastern death cult theology. I wish they had a section where they forced dorks like you to go.

sorry, I disagree
why divide ourselves further? although we belong to different faiths, yahoo answers is a place we can debate, argue our points amongst the widest groups of people.
Also there is the ability to phrase your questions more specifically if say, you are talking about Islam or Christianity for example
the peace be upon you brother
