Observation has shown that animal sexuality is by far more "perverse" than ours. While specualtion abounds, we haven't figured out why, but at the same time, no one is completely sure why humans are gay, either.

This is not a black and white issue. Please understand human sexuality. The penis is designed to feel good when touched. 25% of straight couples practice anal sex, while a fraction of gays do not.

You want to see examples of homosexuality in nature, check out National Geographic some day - it occurs in a wide range of animals - yes, including dogs, but also larger animals including antelope and deer. There's more than simply "theories" about this, there's documentary footage. If you can't find it or have never heard of it, you're just not looking terribly hard.

Let's touch only lightly on the fact that human beings evolved from earlier primates in the wake of the dinosaur extinction and weren't uniquely 'designed' or created by any god. If you believe in the creator-god, you won't accept this, and any answer given in purely anthropological vein won't satisfy you, but anyway there it is.

Either way, however he came to be on this planet, mankind has developed a complex sexuality, outisde the "season" of the beasts. That means sex has become acceptable as a source of pleasure, rather than simply a way to continue the existence of the species. Homosexuality is not something that most people choose, it is a compulsion as strong as heterosexuality. If you are not "deceived into becoming a heterosexual" then why is it so difficult ot understand that gay people are not deceived into becoming homosexual either?

How can a right-thinking man allow himself to be deceived into playing football? Wearing garments made of two different threads? How come televangelists wear suits, not homespun cotton robes? Working on the Sabbath? Why do right-thinking men not stone TV presenters to death at the city gates?

The 'abominations of God' are manifold, and have been universally outgrown by modern society. Their only significant purpose in this day and age is to make bigots feel smug and annoy the crap out of the rest of us. If people are gay, what business is it of ours? Let them be and live your own life in peace.

Hello people. I keep seeing reference to selling children into slavery and have posted the verse so it van be read accurately since it isi again misquoted I won;t go there. There are many places in the Bible that it states that gGOd gave these people over to reprobate minds to do the unthinkable man with man and woman with woman. If we let society guide our lives then we feel it is okay to do al kinds of wrongs such as divorce, have women prostitutes, not discipline our children,be drunkards, do drugs, be overeaters,covet other peoples things, lie, steal, cheat,shall I continuie to go on. GOs gave us the way the truth and the light Jesus Christ and we can follow Him or folow man and what he says. I prefer to follow Christ and do my best to live according to His rules so I do not suffer a punishment that any child suffers for not obeying a parent. Read the Bible with an open mind and pray sincerely first, see what happens you might get a big surprise if you are true in your heart and desire to learn the truth.

If you want to take the Bible literally, then why aren't you fighting the divorce rate? It also says in the Bible that if you get divirced and remarry, you're committing adultery, yet the divorce rate is 50-60%. Not many people would "Choose" to be gay....why would anyone "choose" to be gay? You don't know what a gay person has felt their entire life so don't judge them. Get off your religious high horse and stop being so self righteous and holier than thou.

I'm not gay and I have been married now for almost 40 years so I can understand how you could feel the way that you do. Still I can see that you have not had much exposure to animals.

They will try to mount anything that will hold still long enough. Even Inanimate objects. You don't have your facts straight.

Umm I think you need to do research there are gay animals. Gay pods of all male killer whales and dolphins, MOnkeys, Mice and the like,, Not Unatural Phenomonom we help control the population and we help raise children in the animal world, its only the ignorant as humans like you that try to limit that for us homo humans.

What a narrow look at the world...not to mention a very discriminatory look.

Just because the bible said so, many innocent people were burnt alive as witches. because the bible said so, wars were started and people killed.

BTW, I have yet to see another animal create anything beyond simple eating utensils, yet humans have created machines beyond belief. Isn't that unnatural too, are we all just deceiving ourselves into technology?

You are looking at Leviticus, right? What about the parts of the bible that say it is OK to sell your daughter into slavery, or that it is OK to discipline unruly children by stoning them to death? You seem to be ignoring those parts of the bible.
