People laugh for different reasons - sometimes out of nervousness. I have a friend who laughs when someone hurts themselves. She's a loving person, but laughs 'cause she gets a fright or is nervous. People laugh at themselves or at mistakes they make, to show others that they don't think it's such a big deal.
My friends and I laugh at sarcastic things we say to eachother or when something funny happens...
You should always find laughter in a situation - not haughty, mean cackling laughter. But that deep in your belly laughter, that causes your eyes to sparkle and your mouth to stay in a smile even once you've finished laughing.

Sometimes I laugh because I'm nervous.
A friend once told me of a sheep she had on her farm and it had rolled over onto its back. The sheep couldn't get up and by hte time they found it, it's stomach exploded. Seriously this is very true. I didn't mean to laugh though.

Christians (Catholics especially) are prone to guilt and there's nothing funny about that. Episcopalians are about the best and known as Catholic lite!
First time I met the best friend of my life, she said she was feeling a lot of guilt and I asked her if she was a christian, she was, I did laugh.
But seriously, organized religion -- It's all part of keeping control of the masses (not church services but mulititudes of people.

Do you follow that stupid guy who says laughter is evil? Because if laughter was evil, why would we be laughing about stuff? Depends on what you're laughing at, I guess. And wtf does the UK have anything do do with this???

Hollow, sad laughter at the disfunctional thought processes behind your almost inarticulate question.
