I would like to ask all the kind and tolerant christians ad atheists to stop fighting. I know you are kind people, so if you ever see anyone putting someone else down or insulting any certain group or religion tplease defend those being hurt. Do it in a kind way, hatred never ceases by hatred, only by love, this is the eternal rule. This place is supposed to be a spot where people can go to for spiritual guidance and help, but it has been turned into a battlefield between two belief systems. Show the mean, insulting people that they are not helping any body, perhaps they will listen to those of their own faith and become more like them. Please, for the good of the yahoo! questions?

I believe in God, although I'm not a Christian.

Some of my comments on the site have been overly critical and judgmental of conventional believers. I should have taken into account that roaring fanatics who are bigoted and hateful of those different than themselves ARE NOT THE MAJORITY OF CHRISTIANS. The people who irritate me with that behavior is who I should have addressed it with SPECIFICALY.

My deepest apologies to anyone who was offended. Please pardon my insensitivity.

First I must lmao.
Then ask why would there be an after life, if god just presumes that you will sin?
Would he not presume that you would sin after life also.
I mean come on, if not,
Why not just make us live in the after life? What is the point of all that.
If he made us to play with why didn't he just make it in his little invisible world.
There is no reason to make anything out of his world.
That's like proving the after life is contradictory to your normal assumptions of Christianity.
Why would god make anything live forever if he could of just done it in the first place?
This is telling me he gave bodily form for no apparent reason whats over.
I have people telling me becuz of A TASK, you could do those tasks in the after life which is eternity? Who ever gave me those answers to my last question is obviously brain washed beyond belief.
I AM PUTTING THIS ONE IN MY BOOK!
A Thought just occurred to me, once in heaven there is no bad or good.
SO That's not the answer.

MY alter ego, anthonyinkc-that's me-asked a series of questions about the materialistic lives of some of America's biggest tv preachers. I got a very negative response from some fans of multimillionaire televangelists. I used reputable links from news sites, and other christian websites to prove my point about the lives of these millionaires.

For example, Jerry Falwell recieving 3.5 million from Rev. Moon-who claims he's the real messiah. And Benny Hinn and Joyce Meyer's very, very rich lives-combined they own 9 MANSIONS! Or Jesse Duplantis buying a 18 million dollar jet-while his city was underwater from Katrina. And his ministry was claiming near poverty to help his neighbors.

Of course love of material goods, and riches is forbidden in the bible. But some people on here defended their rich lifestyles, false revelations supposedly direct from God, etc.

So to make them happy, my question is....WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MULTIMILLIONAIRE TELEVANGELIST?

I'm not talking about something you were taught, or believe because you just happened to form an opinion. Have you ever actually seen, experienced, or felt something that you can't account for, other than to say there is a God? An event that convinced you?

I asked what the big deal is with the 10 commandment displays, and in respone, I got this gem:

"This is your own opinion, u saying murdering someone isnt a big deal? Hey I just capped this police, no big deal."

Am I the only one here who thinks that it's possible to simultaneously (1) want the government to be religiously neutral and (2) also be against murder ?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how ignorant was this person's answer?

If, for example, you're Christian and you see a picture of Christ: the face in the picture looking exactly like the real Jesus is a little beside the point. Or is it?

The spiritul connection, I would think has to do more with forgiveness than anything else. Or is it all about a man? Someone who lived in Isreal? Someone who lived between certain dates in history?

What I'm really asking is where details end and the SPIRIT of the story begins. Is it really important what kind of fruit was in the Garden of Eden? Or, for that matter, even if the story is literal?

ISN'T THE WHOLE THING MORE ABOUT A MESSAGE WITH A MEANING THAN who's right, and who wins the contest for knowing everything there is to know? Does God judge us by who guesses riddles the best? Or is it more about the heart - more about the spirt of the person?

Willys cynical thought for the fugging day;

Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone somewhere may be freaking happy!

"The nerve endings," said Gabriel. "How many will I put in her hands?"

"How many did we put in Adam?" asked The Lord.

"Two-hundred, O Mighty One," replied Gabriel.

"Then we shall do the same for this woman," said The Lord.

"How many nerve endings should we put in woman's genitals," inquired Gabriel.

"How many did we put in Adam?" asked The Lord.

"Four-hundred and twenty, O Mighty One," replied Gabriel.

"Of course. We did want Adam to have a means of receiving extra pleasure in his life, didn't we? Do the same for woman," said The Lord.

"Yes, O Great Lord," said Gabriel.

"No, wait!" said The Lord. "Screw it, give her ten-thousand. I want her to scream out my name."

Why have my fellow Christians judged so quickly and so harshly?
Surely he have fallen from the love of God.

the 10 are not the basis for US law, we're based on the English system
the 10 are not the first written law, that's the Code of Hammurabi
the US government is secular (note that secular=/=atheistic)
there isn't even one set of 10,... religions differ on what the 10 actually are.

So what's the big deal?

Why can't the government and its buildings just be neutral territory where no religious groups are elevated and none are discriminated against?

What is so evil about neutrality?

I dont get how a dim-witted super super PC pseudo intellectual goth got the job at Yahoo, honestly.

Yahoo doesnt strike me as an overly PC company, despite their constant censorship of me, among many others. Im not being sarcastic, Yahoo is the best in COMPARISON to the rest. All internet forums have absurd levels of censorship, Yahoo has the least.

If someone from Yahoo admin can answer this, thats cool to...just curious...my impression of Yahoo in general is that they are not insane pc-drones like dim-witted Sinthya.

Are they special sins? There are, according to one hysterical christian, over 900 sins! in the bible you can't break--funny--but molesting children, rape, and a host of other deep ethical problems society has today are not in there! But I suppose how to beat your slave is more important than that! well, anyway!
Why Just the Ten? Were they just really important to God at that time he gave them to Moses?
And why is it that most christians can't even name all of the ten commandments? hmmmm..

People have begun hailing Oprah Winfrey as the new moral voice for the milennium. I say unto ye, art thou insane?!

We're talking about a billionaire who goes to LA every week to get her eyebrows plucked by her cosmetologist because "no one else is as good"

Knowest thou that the Lord Jesus appreciates it when a poor man shares his only food with another more than when a rich woman gives out houses and cars for tax-deductability.
