Religion has no place in government. As far as I'm concerned we need to extract it a bit further. It's total nonsense that my daughter is expected to recite "one nation under God" on a daily basis. Even our money says "in God we trust". How does that make you feel? I don't trust in God, but I do trust in that dolla!

With the limited space herein a complete answer is not possible.
In the beginning the law of the united States was the 10 commandments, and the laws made after that were based on these laws. The knowledge of most Americans concerning constitutional history is weak at best. There is no conflict between Commandment#1 and Amendment #1, Amendment #1 was created so the government would be allowed to do what England did, and that was to create a government religion. That was then.
However today is a completely different story, the UNIted States does have a government religion, which is anti- Christ, anti-God and anti-Christian etc... The name of game today is nature worship. When it comes to rights the Citizen of the UNited States Inc. have no rights and are subjects to the Crown. Thanks for the question.

Try the fourth commandment, the one about observing the Sabbath. If you do not observe the Sabbath God commands that you be killed. The United States would be a pretty empty place if we killed everyone that works on the Sabbath. I think this is against the law also.

I don't think that many advocates for the 10 Commandments even know what they say. I was watching the Colbert Report and he asked a Senator to name some of them, and he could only name like 2 (the most obvious ones: Don't kill, and don't covet).

Well if we have broken any of the Ten Commandments the you got a problem. Just as a murder is going to prison. . . God's word says that liers are going to Hell. We need to ask for God's forgiveness and seek a Savor.

Congress can't prevent me from believing in G-d, or give me another god. Exactly.

*chuckle* Why would someone tell you such a vicious lie? Of course they disagree.

"Honor thy mother and father"... yeah, unless they neglect you, use you, abuse you, molest you, abandon you, emotionally or psychologically scar you, etc. The Ten Commandments really don't make an exception for those kinds of things as far as I know.
