People have begun hailing Oprah Winfrey as the new moral voice for the milennium. I say unto ye, art thou insane?!

We're talking about a billionaire who goes to LA every week to get her eyebrows plucked by her cosmetologist because "no one else is as good"

Knowest thou that the Lord Jesus appreciates it when a poor man shares his only food with another more than when a rich woman gives out houses and cars for tax-deductability.

Oprah is an egomaniac who espouses the moral of today: do for thyself and pat thyself on thy back!11

i think and feel that Oprah brings great joy to others Oprah was and is a woman that can bring out subjects and problems of people that need it and yes she does help people and if she goes to LA to get her brows plucked! good for her! Are you with here 24 hours a day? do you feel what she feels or hear what she hears? do you feel her pain also? This is what is wrong with everything judgement of those that you only see with one of your senses. Use the rest you may see different of a great women who cries like you.

Lets turn things around and see what you would do if you had a billion+ dollar im shure Jesus would have only had his cloths made by the finest tailors and bought a big house to live in.. ,would people live in the house would people wear his cloths.. We should be happy Oprah even cares She can keep her billions of dollars to her self but atleast shes helping other people.

Well, let's see - she gives food, clothing and comfort to people who don't have it. And, unlike some here, she doesn't seem to be big on making spiteful judgements of others. It'd say she's doing pretty well. You, on the other hand, might consider the beam in your own eye before you fixate on Oprah's mote.

I agree!

It's becoming scary how much she is being put up on a pedestal. I know she's done some good things. But, I agree...it's nothing for her to give a few cars. Heaven rejoices when your gift is a SACRAFICE.

Didn't Jesus tell the rich man his way to heaven was to GIVE UP HIS WEALTH?

WTF!?! what is she supposed to do? give all her money away?! I just dont get you people. She's doing what she can do. She worked her as* off for her wealth and now you're asking her to give it all away or else you'd call her a miser? I think she's doing alot better than people like you who do nothing but criticize and complain! What did you give to the world? Atleast she's doing sth. She's helping people and she's indulging herself, ain't no shame in that!

I ♥ Oprah!!

I've never understood the Oprah phenomenon. There's not a humble bone in her body; it's all smoke and mirrors.

one question that is needed to be answered: how generous is generous enough? if you give a hug, how generous is that compared to giving a house to someone else?

she's a celebrity, so it's just normal to have her face presentable. she has the money to spend, so she can pamper herself. it wouldn't be practical if she used her all money in keeping herself pretty and say that she's helping people.
