I wasn't really thinking about widows... more of the "baby momma/daddy" situation where someone had a child out of wedlock.

In 1 Kings 17 there is a story about a widow. This may not suit you super specifically, yet it may. I do know that God care for widows which are very similar to single women with children since they are. So also God cares for orphans.

Now to hit the target "psalms 68:5" say He the "Father of the fatherless".

I dont have a Father around and I can say that God is my Father i reality. He has changed my life and disciplines me when I need it and has shown in my life how that His thought are many of me. He is inside me by His Holy Spirit and teaches and comforts guides and leads into truth. So if a child were Fatherless he should turn to Jesus so that His sins can be cleansed since Jesus took our punishment at His death and then come before God holy in the blood of Jesus.

There are several concerning widows, of course. I can't think of any concerning intentionally single parents. You could always try an online concordance. Google "online concordance" and go from there.

There is one that comes to mind immediately. Sarah's hand maiden, whom Abraham impregnated with Ismael, and then when Sarah had Isaac, she made Abraham drive Ismael and his mother out into the wilderness.

Sure right at the beginning... according to the Bible Adam was born of God, so that would make God the original single parent...... oh and it would make Adam a basta rd too since God wasn't married...

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is when the two daughters got together and tried to sleep with their dad! (If I remember correctly: happened in Soddom and Gommorah(?)

You kidding those religious freaks. At that time women were property. They would never discus any thing that would give women any power. Remember they stoned to death the prostitute and did nothing to the dude.

Besides Mary and Joseph? Remember, they were "pledged" to be married.
