To me, this is one of the most difficult concepts for a person to understand. What is forgiveness and how do you forgive another person?

Got this question from a Bible Study. It's a good question to ponder.
It made me think. I am dedicated to my family, to my work and to my church, is that because that's what is expected or because I am a Christian?

I'm a senior in high school, and most of the kids around my age that i know are athiest. Does that mean that when my generation 'grows up', most of the US will be atheist?

why does it seem that every faithful religious person seems to think that their way of believing and living is the only way? I never understood the thinking behind the "Only way with this particular God/Religion" thing. Don't most religions teach tolerance and love of other people reguardless of what religion, race etc etc..they are?

The bible was written by prophets that communicated with God. Every Christian accepts that fact yes? But today, when someone has communicated with God, or says God has spoken to him, why do we consider him mentally inept. If the man who talks to God is crazy, then the Bible was written by crazy people. Why do we accept the Bible as undenyable true?

Most peoples thoughts have created this incredibly egotistical view that somehow we have had something to do,through this God thought, that it was created as we see fit...That is totally absurd and you know it.......tom science

Why is it that we have such a difficult time forgiving other people, even if they are truly sorry for what they did and won't repeat the mistake?

I have been struggling with various mental issues since 16 and now I feel like my life will be miserable and full of struggles till I die. I don't see any sign that indicates my life is on the track for great turnaround.
I am 24-year-old male, still don't have a college degree, unemployed, and obviously I have yet to reach success. I want to be successful, get recognition from people, and live happy life that I always dream about.
I have been trying hard but I keep struggling. I am tired of trying, failing, trying, failing. I am at a point at which I wonder if my life will never turn around and I will suffer till I die.
I have been praying to God every night to help me turn around my life and be free of my mental issues. I feel very hopeless and miserable at the thought that I will suffer like this till I die.
How should I continue to live when I can't find the light at the end of tunnel?

Is it our capitalist values, or our liberal attitudes towards sex etc? When did it first all kick off? Did we do anything directly to them? Is it because we dont believe in Allah?
Just for arguments sake...what would we have to do to reconcile with them? I just want to know there motives and aims. What are they trying to terrorise us to do?

It's hard to accomodate whole religions within one question, but what I wish to know is if people's religious beliefs are based on their absolutely being sure that things happened a certain way (historical fact) or regardless of historical truth, perhaps based on principle (or maybe it doesn't really matter either way)?

CAN NOT RESPOND WITHOUT AN EMAIL ADDRESS OR SOME WAY TO CONTACT YOU.

My fellow bredren: Because so many ask questions concerning God, and get all sorts of pagan answers, I have decided to just ask what is it you truly want to know about God. Many questions can not be answered in just a couple of words; for many times it is necessary for supporting scripture or historical document to be quoted. Well, as a servant of The Most High God, I offer my knowledge which has been bestowed upon me by H.I.M. who created us. And I say test me, and see if I can't point you in the right direction, or offer insight and light where there is darkness. If possible, include your email address, and I will respond asap... for I check this daily. And being that they only allow 48 hours for responses, I will renew this question regularly.

Like i said leave your email address or if you want; we may even chat via yahoo.

In The Name of the Heavenly Creator: Amen.

Let's take the hypothetical situation of a person who did a crime like a mass murderer and after killing those people, he realized exactly what he had done and finally developed a conscience. He is willing to repay society for what he has done because he realizes just how horrible it was and would give anything to take that crime back. He's hated by everyone for what he did. He's not apologizing to get out of the situation but to take responsibility. Let's say for instance this was the person who masterminded the 9-11 tragedy, an airplane bombing, the Oklahoma Bombing or one of the schools like Columbine. Could this person ever hope to be forgiven in your religion?

Could this person receive forgiveness by your higher power/God(s) and if so, what would he have to do to receive forgiveness?
