Got this question from a Bible Study. It's a good question to ponder.
It made me think. I am dedicated to my family, to my work and to my church, is that because that's what is expected or because I am a Christian?

Thanks For Your Question :)

Well first I'm not a Christian but I noticed somethings in your question that made me answer :)

Well first you say "That you are dedicated to your family but you don't know why" and you think it is maybe "that because that's what is expected or because I am a Christian" ???!

I think these are two big problems here
because being dedicated to your family and your work doesn't come from neither being a Christian nor because that's whats expected it comes because you love your family and you love your work :) it comes from the heart not from the faith or from the human nature.

I hope you understood what I wanted to say, anyways if you still have some questions about this subject or any other please feel free to contact me on abouterachess@yahoo.com

It depends on the motive behind the acts of devotions. If it to build GOD kingdom then it the Father's Will. If it to make you look good then it things devises by men.

That's up to us then: whether we will do the Father's will or things devised by men.

We were given the freedom of choice by God.

I would say the world could use a lot more people like you. God bless and keep you. I think when we go to church, try our best to obey God, then we are doing His will.

When we love the Father, we WANT to do His will---what is right and good and pure.

If what you are doing IS God's will, you will have peace at it, if not, you are doing it to make your own flesh feel good.
