Soto Zen Buddhist monks can be married. I have known some personally. They were real fun people too.

Soto Zen is based mostly on practicing zazen (sitting meditation). There aren't lots of rules. You know whats right.

no they cannot marry... like the catholic priests they are required to uphold vows of celibacy
