Do you think muslims hate america? Do you think the christian government of the USA is at war because they like muslims? Do you think the history of bloodshed in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kashmir, Palestine is caused by atheists?
Do you honestly believe that belief in god makes anyone less hateful?
If you do, I pity your ignorance. But I don't hate you.

I am not sure why you think atheists are hateful. They are just normal people. In general atheists are more accepting of others then those of many religions because they don't judge others on their lifestyles. There are some that are hateful, of course if you look at any religion you will find some hateful people.
Besides in order to accept God we would have to believe in God, belief isn't something you can just wake up and change. If someone thinks you can then they should probably think about whether or not they could just wake up one day and decide not to believe in God, because if you can do that then you didn't really have faith in your belief.

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is a lack of belief in a deity or deities: the opposite of theism. This encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically regard as atheists only those people who actively assert the nonexistence of gods, leaving other nonbelievers classified as agnostics and/or non-theists.
Although many of those who identify themselves as atheists share a common skeptical attitude regarding spiritual or supernatural claims, atheistic beliefs may derive from a variety of personal, philosophical, social, and historical rationales. While there is a tendency among self-described atheists toward secular philosophies such as humanism, naturalism and materialism, there is no single system of philosophy to which all atheists can be said to adhere, nor does atheism have any institutionalized rituals or behaviors. Using the broad definition, atheists need have nothing at all in common with each other, since they belong to a category which is defined by what they are not (theists) rather than what they are.
First of all, after this lengthy definition of the term "Atheist", I would like to point out that there are many Christians that have anger issues themselves, not to mention their tendoncy to be hypocrites beyond the extreme.
Don't believe me? Look at America's current political administration. They all profess to being good Christians... I'm still waiting for the proof.
I don't think it matters if you have religion or not, but it is what completes you. It is your choice and your right to decide if you want to believe.
Besides, you don't "just accept God".

Since I am agnostic I shouldn't answer the question.... but I cant help myself. Maybe if we "non believers" didn't feel so persecuted by some (not all) believers than maybe we wouldn't be so hateful, as you so nicely said it! I have met my fair share of "hateful" people, but I will be sure that the next time I come across one I will ask what their religious affiliation is so I can mark it my notebook for you! Oh and if we accepted God.... we wouldn't be atheists or agnostic now would we? If you gave up your God... would that make you less judgmental? Just putting it back on you! Happy to be agnostic! (notice I said happy)

There you go generalizing people again. I'm willing to bet that you think we're hateful just because we don't agree with your beliefs. You think that god is the only way to anything good in life and that's where you are severely mistaken.
Here's hoping you can open your eyes some day.
A side note... True atheists aren't "angry at god." We've realized how absurd the idea of god actually is, and how improbable the existence of anything remotely close to the human idea of god(s) is. It's not anger or hatred... it's careful study and observation.

Atheists are not hateful. Some christians potray them as such.
Christians just don't like people who don't believe as they do,
especially fundamentalists. Christianity is not very tolerant of
other beliefs.

We're not hateful. Thanks for being judgmental and proving your self-righteous attitude once again!
If we didn't continually have fanatics trying to shove their religion down our throats, we would be quite happy to live in peace. Not everybody wants to join your church and give $$$ for the rest of our lives, and we're not afraid to speak out minds when challenged.
But since fanatics have such strong beliefs, they will be thrilled to see their latest and greatest book is soon to be released (attached).

I think they'd be fine if everyone would just leave them be! Worry about helping your fellow man who needs and wants help. Spreading the Gospel is one thing, shoving down the throats of others who don't want it is another.

Hate is not related to religion. Some people are hateful and stereotype others regardless of what they believe or don't believe.

I personally have never met a hateful atheist. I have, however, met a trainload of hateful people on this site calling themselves Christians.
Didn't Jesus tell you to love your neighbor as yourself? And will you please have the courtesy to answer this question for me? I mean, if you hate atheists, you can't be a Christian, can you?
