How far should the US population go in insisting on our constitutional protection from the governmental establishment of religion? To be clear where I stand, I think that even our day to day language has to be very careful in this cause. For instance, referring to an animal as a "creature" implies it had a creator, which should have to be avoided in public school settings. I also think that we should do everything within our power to fight against things like private school vouchers being provided by the government, so that they cannot allow the religious right to simply sidestep the intellectual progress we have made at taxpayers expense. Any thoughts from the un(brain)washed masses?

I am a faithful Christian and I want to know what causes you to be Atheist, Agnostic, a non-believer, whatever you might want to call it. How are you so sure that God doesn't exist? If I start RCIA in September, will the process be done by around Easter? Do Communion & Confirmation both occur on Easter? Do I do Reconciliation and baptism BEFORE Easter Sunday? When?

Were there Ducks on the Ark.

I know if I was a Duck and I was swimming in a pond chasing lady ducks and Noah came along asking me to be in his ark Id tell him this:

Hey Noah, Piss off. I dont want to go on your fruity loveboat of beastiallity. Ill take my chances right here on the pond and continue chasing all the lady ducks. Ill even fly over your dorkey ark and poop on it. Now piss off - Im not coming.

Do you really think he had ducks on the ark?


Actually - I have a feeling that Noah was asleep and the ducks broke into his shack, whispering in his ear over and over to "build an ark". When Noah woke up he was convinced that God had told him to do it. Meanwhile the ducks are laughing their asses off in the pond by his shack. 2 nights later they whisper in his ear that gulibale wasnt in the dictionary and the next day noah looked it up and then deemed the dictionary to be the work of satan.

Of all the doctrines, I have the most trouble with this one. If we base it soley on the story of Onan, wouldn't sex outside of marriage also be ok, since that's what he was supposed to be doing with his brother's widow?

People say "how did everything get here, and where did you come from?" and imply that God is the obvious answer. Well, I've been living in a cave, raised by wolves since birth, so I just have no idea, but that seems kind of suspiciously random to me. God is quite a specific and complex and unsupported idea. Isn't there something else that might be an easier explaination? Wouldn't an ALMOST omnipotent being be a little more plausible? Or maybe, an AMOST omnipotent being from a race of ALMOST omniscient galactic guinnea pigs who have a peculiar love of orange soda? Just trying to polish my cosmology...Has anyone heard of any other answers to the "big" questions?

I took a philosophy class in College and the professor told us about controlling our dreams. No one believed him and we all laughed. A couple of days later a couple of us mentioned in class that we were able to control our dreams. Has this happened to anyone else?

There is a plant in Nth. Gabon, West Africa that is very amazing.
The root bark of the Iboga plant is a drug used by the tribes in ceromonies to connect with God. It also has the effect of stopping different addictions in a matter of days with no withdrawl effects.
Its very interesting, there is a web site Mindvox.com that has info about Iboga and there is a story about Adam and Eve and Iboga that is very strange. it is interesting and weid. see what you think.

I recently came back from a mission in Africa. While I was there, I did great things like bring them, food, water, and showed them magic tricks. I use the magic tricks to show them the power of Jesus. Once they see the trick, I tell them that if they don't become Christians, they will burn in hell for all of eternity. Is this the fastest way to save souls? Is there a more efficient way?
