Show us your proof Muslims! You brag about celebrities who convert to Islam (mostly black boxers) but when the celebrities deny converting to Islam, you pretend like you don't know who would make up such a lie. hi guys i am a MUSLIM i have been(on yahoo question and answer) from1 month and belive me this world still has very nice people i have seen question from people who INSLUT ISLAM but i have also seen that VERY NICE answer given to that question by CHIRSTIAN it shows that every religion has good and bad guys to that people who insult other religion i dont know what religion u r from but try not to INSULT any one religion look at that chirstian guys who uses there brain and answer u dont have no brain i love this guys the good guys(chirstian) and also to let u know to that peopl who insult others religion my gf is a CHIRSTIAN and i am a MUSLIM i respect her and her religion but guys who insultcome on grow up most of NON MUSLIM over here are very nice they dont insult any one when will this war finish between muslims and non muslims when will we have peace i am sorry i have not asked any question but i wanted u guys to know about my fellings thats it coz as a muslim i respect everyone

I'll make this short and sweet. Everytime I post something about Islam, some Muslim comes out of the woodwork and flatly denies the facts I present, even though I offer credible reliable references. They deny deny deny until they are finally cornered with undeniable fact. Then they try to change the subject.

Why is al-taqiyya (lying for Islam) so common these days? I hate liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen lots of people on this board throwing around statements like "your religion is a cult" in a way that's meant to be an insult. So I started to wonder just how much of an insult that really was.

I mean, we hear on the news about Heaven's Gate, or other mass-suicide groups which are obviously bad news, and not good for any neighborhood.

But then I heard someone call the Shriners a cult, and I thought "aren't those the guys that are fun to watch in community parades, and donate millions of dollars to children's hospitals?"

So I don't get it? Are the Shriners not a cult? Or are there cults out there that really do contribute positively to their communities?

(Please note I'm asking this question with a complete disregard with whether their beliefs are right or not, this is is more in regards to having a positive or negative role in society in general).

Why are so many people promoting the Bible as an ecyclopedia Britianica volume? Is it the mystery volume never released, or what?

Isn't the Bible a compilation of stories?

How do people get into heaven according to the Muslim religion ? I was told that if your "good" deeds outweighed the "bad" you've done, then that meant you went to heaven. In all seriousness, if that is the case, do you believe that you can only enter heaven completely pure and spotless from sin? Since heaven is so holy, only holy entities may enter. (Holy=Pure.)

I really dont understand why people (A)assume things to be true and claim they are or (B) state a false fact as true when it is easlily proven wrong. Im not talking about anyone or religion specifically, but why do people do this?

And on the other extreme, why do people paste a whole page of an explanation for a simple two sentence question?

Many of you said that yes, there is a seperation of church and state. Do you feel that this was the intention of those who drafted and ratified the Amendment 1 to the US Constitution.

I attend a mainline Protestant church, and I know people of a lot of different denominations, but I know any real fundamentalists. Normally I wouldn't ask a religious question on here, but I'm hoping that I might get a decent answer, because this is something we've been talking about in Sunday school.

Now, I don't mean this as a rhetorical question, but how do you reconcile the narrative contradictions in the Bible? Such as the differences between the two creation stories in Genesis 1 and 2, the many contradictory versions of the same story found in different Gospels, the extreme differences between John and the synoptics, and the differences between what Paul writes and what Luke says in Acts.

It might be easy to say that people who believe the Bible literally are idiots, and I'm sure that most of the people who believe that haven't actually read the Bible, but I'm sure there must be people out there who have read the Bible, who know much more about it than I do, and can explain.

Islamic history tells that when prophet Muahmemd conquered Mecca, he gave a list of 10 names for people whom should be killed wherever they were found, even if they were inside the Ka'aba (the most holy place for Msulims). Among those people was Abdullah Ibn Sa'ad. The only reason prophet Muhammed wanted to kill that guy for was because he used to be a Msulim and then he converted back to Paganism.

The history also tells that Abdullah ran to his cousin Osman Ibn Affan (one of the richest Muslim persons and a very good friend to prophet Muahammed) and that Osman brought him to prophet Muhammed asking for forgivness. After keeping silent for a few minutes, prophet Muhammed forgave him and he blamed his companions later because they did not KILL the man right away while prophet Muhammed was silent!

That story raises many questions in my mind:
1- Is converting back from islam is a crime that should be punished by death?
