Yes. Jesus told you to do it. With modern sterile and relatively pain free procedures, Christian men have no excuse for not complying. Origen did it to himself without anesthetics or antibiotics. Why can't you?

Interesting responses. Mostly in two categories.
The first category is that you shouldn't reproduce so go ahead and do the Bobbitt thing, reason being there'd be less future morons in the world. Ironically, the ones giving that advice are morons.
The second, which is more disturbing, since I get where you're coming from, is that you "misinterpret" the Bible. Hey, if the Bible says stone this or smite that, or cut that sucker off, I don't see a lot of gray area there. How would you "rightly" interpret such a passage? Why not also give Lucifer, the bringer of light, the benefit of the doubt? Maybe he was really misunderstood and got a bad rap from the publishing agents? "Sympathy for the Devil" - great song by the Rollling Stones, but I digress . . .
Insofar as your question goes, which I assume is a hypothetical question, lots of "good Christians" dilly-dally, it's a personal choice. Just remember, there sure as hell ain't no hell.

I guess if you believe in such nonsense.I for one think adultery is despicable but you only thought about it.Just don't do it and leave the cutlery out of this one.If you're going to hell for just thinking about it then God must not be that forgiving.I don't see how it's even possible to go to hell if God forgives all sins. The whole thing makes absolutely no sense to me.I'm not even a religious man but I wouldn't commit adultery.I don't need some old book to instill those values.I do like what Eagleflyer said thoug.h

Why in this world would you want to lose points on Yahoo Answers, for this kind of a question? I think you need to grow up and shut up!!! P. S. If you are serious; you don't have to go to hell. Plus, everyone is tempted in some form or fashion. It is not the thought of adultery (which is wrong); but the act of adultery that would hurt your relationship with Jesus. You don't have to give in to that thought, and just ask Jesus into your life. He will, ya know! No-one is perfect and you do not have to be perfect to come to him. Thanks for the two points!!!!

No, but I once worked in an emergency room and helped treat a man who did a self castration to reduce his sex drive so he could become more religious. After treatment for his surgery, he received treatment in another part of the hospital for his mental issue.

Why bother cutting it off, since it wouldn't change your thoughts. How about cutting of the thought? What's in your thoughts is what leads to action, not the other way around.
Self control is part of the "fruitage of the spirit". So, take control of your own mind. And pray for help with it.

No, you shouldn't. That strong urge you have is a demon tempting you to do the wrong thing. I believe that if you meditate in the Word that you'll see this. Think about your wife and how she would feel if you cheated. Think about the guilt that you will feel. Think about all the complications that can happen. Then ask God to forgive you for your thoughts and pray in Jesus' name that God will protect you and take the lusting from your heart. He will. Just have total faith. I'll pray for you and I hope that everyone reading this will pray for you too.

overseas and broke, ABSOLUTELY NOT.In past ages,When humanity was living on a lower level of spiritual awareness, monks who could not keep their vows, would do that.Today ,because of all the work done by the saints who have gone before us,that extreme behavior is not acceptable. Most of what you read in religious texts is not applicabable today. READ romans and ephesians, can you see where you stand spiritually?? THE BOTTOM LINE, FOR YOU,I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO READ EPHESIANS 2-22 & 4-6,read it and contemplate it night and day until GOD reveals layer after layer of what he means, you will end in your own heart experiencing UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. I have been where you are,I give you personal experience and all my LOVE Whistle Britches

I am assuming that your trying to be funny. If you have the urge to fool around, fool around. But be honest about it. Sounds like you should be with someone who is not interested in committing. Believe me, there are plenty of girls out there that feel the same as you!
