How do people get into heaven according to the Muslim religion ? I was told that if your "good" deeds outweighed the "bad" you've done, then that meant you went to heaven. In all seriousness, if that is the case, do you believe that you can only enter heaven completely pure and spotless from sin? Since heaven is so holy, only holy entities may enter. (Holy=Pure.)

The holy Quran, 39:53
Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Every one who gets into Paradise should be pure and Allah will guaranty this.

Go ask an Imam or Sheik. I really pitty the first man who answered ur question. I't not just having good deeds more then bad ones. It's obeying God's word and orders. Praying all prayers, fasting all of the holy month RAMADAN. Donating money to the poor as said in the religion books. Going to the "Haaj" in Saudi Arabia on the Eid. Tons of things that a muslim ahould do. As well as having the charactaristics of propet Mohammad ( May peace be upon him) And when a muslim dies, and he hasn't acomplished what he sould have, like praying, then he/she will lay in HELL and finish all the times he didn't pray praying in HELL. In hell where ur skin melts. Then GOD creats for u skin again. And that's a cycle. Going to heaven isn't as simple as it seems. Again, I pitty the first man who answered ur question.
PEACE.

about the scale u r right about entering completly pure u r wrong
a person by instinct tends to do wrong thing allah has made us that way so here comes the mind that if u choose prevent u from doing most of the wrong deeds if u r a good person ofcourse but u still do some wrong actions no one is mistakeless except one man (our master muhhamed) this was all mensioned in the holly kor`an so if ur good deeds exceeds ur wrong deeds u entre the heaven then comes another scale how many right actions have u done and how many wrong ones ,by that u entre a level of 7 levels of heaven

First of all---Noah, Moses, and Lot were not Muslim, they were Isrealites which believe in Hebrew and Jewish beliefs.
Secondly---Muslims do not believe in heaven. Rather, they believe in an afterlife. Which means they will be reincarnated if they have lived a good life according to their beliefs.
"You must believe there is a Heaven and a Hell and lead a pure life according to the word of the bible and obey the 10 Laws that God passed down to Moses!" If you do that you shall enter the gates of Heaven and walk hand in hand with Christ!

You idiot, BUDDISTS are the ones who believe in reincarnation. It's an entirely different religion from an entirely different region, in case you were wondering, and I BET you were.
And like Christianity has its own divisions (Ortodox, Baptist, Catholic and so on), Islam has Shias, Sunnis, and a couple of other sects. So, not an expert on Islam paradaise, but I'm pretty sure each one has slightly different versions of heaven and how to get there, not unlike Catholism used to have purgatory and other denominations didn't.
Also like Christianity, they have their own Judgement day and, like Christians, believe that everybody not on their side will go to hell.
That's the silliness of religion. Whether Christianity or Islam, everyone belives those not on their side will go burn in hell.
But what's really amazing is that an atheist like me knows far more about world religions than most religion-fanboys. Damn, I STILL can't get over how a Christian got Buddism and Islam mixed up. I mean, REALLY!

how does the fact that one needs more positive deeds than negative to enter heaven have anything to do with being completely sinless. Are you saying that Moses, David, Lot and Noah will not enter heaven?

..blessed to be a practacting Muslim
entering heaven..depends on both human and God rights...
human rights ..include..right from...family..that is even if we are married..we have to take care of our parents...
of our relatives..who are not ..that... close..
so much so that...human rights ..go so far..that we are to take care of our neighbours....as far as 40 houses...to each side....
we have to be honest and always talk of truth..even if it means..we are...to talk against our interest...
we have to take care of the animals which are....under our protection...though we are not allowed to have pets in our house...we can have animals out side the house..away form the living quarters....
ofcourse there is much more to this than i stated...and human and rights to our creator are more than .....i can tell you..in a few lines....
and ofcourse....one has to be holy /pure/spot less of any sin to enter the heaven....

in case you extremely love him stay with him. on the priority which you like your God and stay unswerving to Him. God will the two convert him with a miracle or you would be guided with the holy spirit or follow in Jesus footsteps. the two way you % faith and staying power to end this way of element. to produce somewhat one it takes 9 months. To kill it even though it takes an on the spot. subsequently good issues take time, failures take an on the spot. faith without works is incomplete. God Bless
