Seriously, some Christians on here would have me believe that as long as I fake it I'll be ok. They use Pascal's Wager, which basically says, if I don't believe and I'm wrong I'm S.O.L. But if I do believe and I'm wrong I'm ok. To me that sounds like people actually think it's ok to believe, "just in case." They use religion as their insurance policy. I think if I'm going to believe in something it should be because I believe in it, not because I'm afraid to not believe in it. I know many people believe in things for real and true and good reasons. I respect and admire those people who have faith because they believe, not because they think it'll get them out of Hell. So I have two questions. First what are your thoughts on Pascal's Wager, and second could people please stop trying to use it to "scare" me into believing like you do?

What makes you think that your sacred text is right, and that everything in it is true, when there are other religions who's books say that god says that they're right. So christians and Muslims, how do you now you are right, and not say, Zoroastrians?

I've heard some people say yes and some said no. Are they or not?
That would suck if they weren't allowed to pleasure themselves.

I really like this piece written by Billy Graham's daughter. What do you think?

WHERE IS GOD?

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.
Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare (she was
murdered, her body was found recently) complained she didn't want any
prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then, someone said you better not read the Bible in school... the
Bible that says "thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal", and "love your neighbor as yourself." And we said, OK.

Then, Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when
they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide) And we said, an expert should know what he's talking about so we said OK.

Then, someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our
children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no
faculty member in this school better touch a student when they
misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't
want to be sued (there's big difference between disciplining and
touching, beating, smacking, humiliating, kicking, etc.) And we said, OK.

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they
want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, OK.

Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and
they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms
they want, so they can have all the "safe sex" that they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said, OK.

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we
do in private as long as we do our jobs. And agreeing with them, we
said it doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President, does
in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good.

And then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude
women and call it wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty
of the female body. And we said, OK.

And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and
published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by
making them available on the internet. And we said OK, they're
entitled to their free speech.

And then the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and
movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. And let's
record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic
themes. And we said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect,
and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why
they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill
strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.

I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." -Galatians 6:7

"Dear God, Why didn't you save the little girl killed in her
classroom? " Sincerely, Concerned Student...Could the reply be: "Dear
Concerned Student, I am not allowed in schools." Sincerely, God.

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why
the world's going to Hell (literally). Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what God says in the Bible.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven, provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says.

Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan
who, by the way, also "believes" in God.

Funny how we are quick to judge, but not to be judged.

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they
spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the
Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Are you laughing?

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through
cyberspace, but the public discussion of God is suppressed in the
school and workplace.

Funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an
invisible Christian the rest of the week.

Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think
of me than what God thinks of me.

When I go to visit my older sister at NYU, all of the girls in her dorm ask me if I am Jewish. I'm actually not any religion at all, and I'm ethnically Italian and English.

There is this common room on her floor at the dorm., and when I was cooking dinner all of the girls were in there listing which celebrities were Jewish and who "looked it."

please answer if you are Jewish, do you often think about if another person is Jewish when you meet them? Are you really eager to know? if so, why?

I'm sorry if I'm being ignorant but my family is Catholic but when I meet someone I never think about their religion, I just want to know them as a person.
Also, I've never asked anyone what their religion is, certainly not when I first meet them. I have never cared about the religion of any celebrities . I'm not saying it is wrong, maybe it's a cultural difference?

ps the Jewish girls were very friendly but I just found it intrusive, I guess because I'm not used to it.

Hello, yes, I'd just like to request that you all ignore the idiots who say they are Athena and Apollo.

Trust me, we're not all like that.

Please do this favor for me, don't encourage their idiotic behavior, just as you'd not like us to encourage the White Baptist dude's behavior...

Thank you.

Do you think he is:

Still ducked taped to his bed, his body covered with moles?

Is he still trying to jack-up his house 2 feet to make the grass seem shorter?

Is he still trying to shampoo his hairless head, over and over because the darn bottle says repeat?

Putting on a couple of band-aids to ease the pain from jumping down the 63 floor of the Trump tower in a bear-suit and landing on a pin?

Is he feeling nausious from ingesting all that poison?

Or is he in the ER because he swallowed that tiny piece of gum yesterday?

A fan!

The following press release was published today.

A Christian school is seeking parents' permission for staff to strap students despite corporal punishment in schools being illegal. The school acknowledges the Education Act forbids corporal punishment, but quotes the Bible saying "We ought to serve God rather than men". Parents are given an "authorization" form which says they are aware corporal punishment at school is banned, but will permit school staff to administer it.

The policy says the strap must be given on the palm after consultation with another staff member, and in the presence of that staff member. Afterwards the child is to be spoken to or prayed with, or both.

Is this just another example of how religion is violent and hell bent on brain-washing children? What damaging effect does this have on the child’s mind? The kid may be a bright good child, but in the view of some religious fanatic teacher, the child is bad in the eyes of an unproven non-existent God?

o.k this goes to the atheist let's say what about if we the christians are right I mean that there is a God, who sent his one and only Son and if you believe in him and repent of your sins you will be in heaven aan all the other stuff... but if you refused the sacrifice of Jesus and you don't repent of your sins you will be in hell for an eternity (uyy) so if that statement is right what would you guys do, the reality for this answer is you will be lost i mean you would go back in time and beleive about this but is gonna be late. remember you don't want an eternity without him. what about if this is right and the truth.

now let's say what happens if this is not correct my question is: do we (christians) are going to lose something?? for us there will be no perish neither for you everything will be like normal.. if this is correct.!! the thing is we don't lose anything.. but remember if its the other way . you know what will happen to you..

You claim there are many paths to God and that all paths are valid. It is clear you have no idea what you are talking about. It doesn’t take a three digit IQ to understand that two things that are mutually exclusive both can’t be right. If Christianity is true then you are wrong. If you are right then Christianity is wrong. You can’t have it both ways, both can’t be correct. So stop being patronizing and smug. Either worship God or worship the Devil.

I know you really want to start whining about how you don’t worship the Devil because you don’t believe in the Devil. Face up to THE TRUTH.

Jesus Loves You but the Devil is destroying you.

In Christ
