Salvation is from Hell, eternal punishment for unforgiven sins. You will never find any verse in Scripture where we are promised a life free of pain, suffering and heartache. If you hate these things, hate sin, it is the reason these things exist.

Salvation does not mean that Jesus is going to make everything all right in the world. That is our job as Christians. Jesus died on a cross, and rose again to save us from our sin long before we were born. Salvation means to accept Christ as your personal lord and savior. Just because you become a Christian, and get saved doesnt mean that you will not face hardships or pain in life. Jesus did not fail, those of us who dont believe are the ones who are failing.... Those of us Christians who dont tell other's of Jesus' sacrafice, and his love for us are the one's who are failing. Jesus is the one and ONLY perfect man to have ever walked this earth..... If you read the Bible, you will see for yourself where "the salvation" as you call it happened..... May God be with you and Bless you!!!!

I'm not offended, and I don't think you posted the Q to be offensive. Don't worry about that. I think there is much pain around, but if you look around, there is also so much joy going on.

I think that Jesus came to give us salvation in the soul, to give us the way to live, what to strive for. We might fail to follow, but thats us. We have always had choices to do good, or bad, or whatever is easiest at the moment, and sometimes we like to do what is best for us right now, we're very narrow minded.

Yes, there are many poor people, but also many rich that are poor inside, and poor that are rich inside, in their values, etc..

It is a spiritual salvation, not physical. Even if you live a hard life, you can have an inner peace and joy from knowing you are living life the best that you can and that Jesus is with you, and that after this life, you have salvation.

Jesus came to this world to save the lost souls in every nation by bringing the truth about God, His Father, to all of them. However, He did not sacrifice His body and His blood for ALL PEOPLE he only gave it for HIS DISCIPLES AND FOR MANY OTHERS, BUT NOT THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY OR LOVE GOD. If you check the words of Jesus in the book of Matthew, chapter 29 and verses 28 and 29 during the last supper, Jesus shed his blood for "MANY" but He knew that NOT ALL people would believe in His sacrifice. Also, it is NOT everyone who takes communion that takes it "worthily". Much of the pain seen today in the world is a symptom of the continuing disobedience to God's will and the results of sins visited on the children of people who continue to hate God, denying His existence and going against his commandments to Love God and Love their neighbors as themselves. Jesus told all of them that the poor would always be among us because some people are poor BECAUSE other people are rich. He also said "..a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven." Man's hatred is now, being justified from the sinner all the way to the fourth generation of the sinner's family! To your last question, NO. Jesus has NOT failed in His mission because there are some people who are obedient and who love God, repent and turn from their sins, believe the truths told by Jesus and they do love their neighbors as they love themselves. (Some people do not love themselves and that is another problem man has created.) Best wishes.

Jesus said that there would be many who do not follow. "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14. No where in the Bible does it say that everyone will eventually get saved. God always, from beginning to end, saves the faithful and lets those who abandon His love die in their own devices.

Secondly, remember, my friend, that man brought a curse on himself by sinning. Sin causes death and suffering. God gave us the choice to choose Him or choose sin, and we chose sin. All the pain and suffering in the world comes from that original choice of our father Adam. He brought the curse on us, the same way we bring the curse on our children when we sin.

Christ came to lift the curse from those who are willing. It is our job to pray for all mankind that salvation and revival and healing will come upon our fellow man.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this, that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Jesus is good, my friend. He came to seek and save those who are lost. But if we choose death, if we choose rebellion, then our condemnation is just.

Blessings.

I stumbled upon this site while trying to find keith green tabs, and I started asking and answering. this will be my last entry. I know you are probably quite detached from me and my answer, and you maybe aren't even looking for an answer. here's what I've figured out.
I was a crack and meth addict. I hated everybody I knew, I slept around, I sat up late writing hateful things on the net, I made fun of people, ruined people's lives. I was a reject and I did not deserve to live.
I was awestruck when I found that the God who created me chose to give up his priveledge as god and become a man like me so that he could suffer in my place. I mean, I deserved those beatings, I deserved those whipmarks, I deserved to be nailed to a piece of wood and jeered at. I didn't accept this as a theory or a nice thought, I accepted it as a fact. He came, he spoke, he died, he rose again, he went to heaven, and he left his spirit to carry on, right? well, I don't know how your life is going, but with the hope he's given me, I've found His strength inside to quit everything I used to do. I don't do drugs, I don't sleep around... but more than that, I can trust people now. the people didn't get any better, I just started to be able to see his spirit moving around and through and in them (even non-believers...I see a bum needing mcdonald's just the same as Jesus needing food). I don't worry so much about food or clothing, or when and how I'll die. I guess you could say I've been "saved" from my old self, like my old self was nailed to that tree with Him. He said He's the resurrection and the life, not that he'll do the resurrection or give you a thing called life. maybe you were taught to look for these as a thing. they are actually a person. He is the salvation, and His mission was to bring Himself to us. Get to know him, because he is a narrow gate that only one person can enter in at a time. quit looking at other people and judging them, and start looking at the God that Jesus describes. I still have pain in my life, I still have hurts, but Jesus is now INSIDE me, and I know I'm inside of Him, because His spirit is around me... look in the eyes of a rescue mission worker. feel their smile. that's Jesus in there.

The salvation comes when one accepts Jesus Christ. One soul at a time

I think you have missed the point as to what salvation is. Salvation refers to our eternal soul, not to what happens to us here on earth. The awful things that you speak about are not God's doing, they the things mankind is doing to each other. The peace and joy a true Christian has is knowing because He died for our sins He has saved (salvation) us for Himself. Misfortune here on earth is of no consequence......Heaven is our true home!
