What is "a guilt"?

2006-08-22 09:00:30 · answer #1 · answered by Michael 4 · 1 0

Why is it wrong to feel guilty of not believing in God? Well, that's the whole point that you really need him and he wants you. Jesus loves you and want you to be with him. He offers a free gift which is salvation. Sometimes people keep their distance from Jesus because they don't want him meddling in their lives. What people strongly believe often has little to do with sound reasoning. Some people go to great lengths to suppress evidence if the facts contradict our made-up minds. Keep an open mind.

a guilt is a feeling of regret for doing something wrong. Not believing in God is a sin because it is rejecting Him.

I think you mean why is it a sin not to believe in God? Because He is the creator of all things. He asks that we acknowledge Him for that. In the bible there is a verse "all of creation speaks of the existence of God, that no man has excuse". We can agree or disagree, but God has made a way for sinful man to be reconciled to Him, and that is through Jesus Christ alone.

No one will escape the judgment. You will either be spared going to hell when you die because you accept God's son as your savior, or you will not be spared. There is no middle ground for people who just didn't "feel like believing".

It's simply a matter of you not accepting Him as your Heavenly Father & His Son, so when you stand b4 Him He won't know you(you won't have the Spirit man He recognizes as His child who loved Him by Faith).

They try to make you feel guilty because you dare to be different. Remember, it is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not. Don't be a sheep, stick to what YOU believe.

If we feel guilty about something it is usually because we know it is wrong
