I am seeing God work everywhere. I can't believe what's going on..it's like heaven is moving very quickly. I have never seen such a hunger for God. At the same time I have never seen such satanic attack's against the church...of course it's like rain drops in the ocean...the effect can't be measured...but the spirit of God is really moving!

What going on with you?

...... Hello ! But there are other religious people here too and atheists are most certainly welcome to express their views. How else can we all expect to learn and be more open minded.

Do athiests exist on yahoo answers?
I see their words, but maybe thats just Satan trying to fool us. If you're an athiest, can you prove you're real?

I can't see you so I don't think you exist.

I know athiest exist, but do they exist here? All I'm asking is for a shred of proof that you're a real person that doesn't believe in God and is using Yahoo answers. Simple enough.

Doesn't the body have it's own self-balancing mechanisms so that it would become desensitized to sin itself? And therefore no longer crave sin?

Isn't it usually the Soul that seeks to prolong pleasurable experiences, long after the body no longer finds them pleasurable?

Why do we always blame everything on the body? Isn't it a beautiful work, put here by God? Is not the body divine? Why do we always say the flesh is weak? Isn't it one of the most beautiful things in all creation?

I am just curious and open to learn rather than base things on what others have said.I am however content with my Catholicism and not looking to be converted nor to convert. I only want to learn if we can live in peace and acceptance.
Peace Be With You,

The Kalam Cosmological Argument says "Since whatever begins to exist has a cause, there must exist a transcendent cause of the universe". However, as I understand it quantum mechanics says that existence is probabilistic, rather than deterministic, and is therefore uncaused.

Does QM therefore disprove the KCA?

If being a fundamentalist means you take everything back to the roots of the beleif then why is that so hated and feared? Is it so bad to find absolute truth in something rather than believing all truth to be relative. If you don't believe in the fundamentals of something how can you really believe in it at all?

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Notice how it doesnt say anything like, "Where there are non-christians, let me convert them"?

Do you think St Francis was an evangelist who went about converting ppl with biblical quotes or do u think he won people by love and compassion.

It fits the criteria for delusion - a belief in something we can't perceive with our sense, can't experience in any objective way and with no supporting evidence or argument. If I thought there was a pink yeti in my attic you'd think I was crazy, especially if I went on to say it was directing my actions.

Why do we have respect for this? We'd cleary think someone was nuts if it was anything other than religion. I'm sorry if that's a bit harsh, I used to have more respect/moderation when it comes to criticising religion, but I'd like an answer to this question. It's making me increasingly angry that our politicians are vocally deferring to an invisible man in the sky, getting directions from said invisible man, and shaping domestic and foreign policy around this totally unsubstantiated belief.
