I have studied it verse by verse, a lot of people think it is either a book that can't be understood or that it has no relevance to us today, however when it is studied in context with the rest of the bible it can be understood quite easily because other scriptures in the bible give the key to understanding the symbolism used, such as what the wild beasts mean, what the four horseman symbolise, who 'babylon the great' is etc etc. You can see that in fact it is all about the times we are living in. The book 'revelation, it's grand climax at hand' published by Jehovah's witnesses explains the whole thing verse by verse, just ask any witness and they will get you a copy without charge.

I have read the book of Revelations numerous times and I also studied the book of Revelations. I am currently reading a book by Scott Hahn entitled "The Lamb's Supper - The Mass As Heaven on Earth" Scott Hahn is a former protestant minister who is now Catholic and is a very learned and educated Biblical theologian. Absolutely excellent book.

Yes-twice
It may sound confusing. Really, all the letters to the churches at the beginning correlate with what Christians are doing today, and the rest of the book is set in the future during the end times.

The revelation of John I assume? (yes, I have)
The reason I ask is because there was also a revelation of Peter that the chuch fathers decided not to put in the bible since it didn't say what they wanted it to say.
