I thought atheism was for people who approached problems from a rational perspective rather than a religous perspective. Now the leaders of this movement just want to destroy. A real atheist doesn't care how other people think because they think rationally. The only beef I have with atheism is that I think humans are generally corrupt and need to rely on a higher order to gain that rationalism. I am not hating, I am think out loud looking for intelligent insight. I don't like the Church either, I think a person who is religous because they are afraid of punishment is worse than a hedenistic faux atheist. Intelligent people only please, I am sick of wadeing through the crap answers.

1.He created life and everything in existence.
2.Angels were part of his perfect creations.
3.oops! maybe God wasn't so perfect after all...one angel dared to
challenge him. ok, so God is flawed in creating perfection.
4.As a result of this new battle that now the devil was in competition for our souls....this is a battle God could lose! oh no! God is weaker than the devil!!

5.So now God decides to be a vengeful, jealous God and establishes rules for all his creation....."be good...or else!!". Wow, so now he's also a mean God that would send his creations gone bad to the burning ovens of the universe.

6. he sent his only son to save us from his creations gone bad. an embarrassing God, my oh my.

7. his word, rules and warnings were passed on to only the immediate apostles as another way to save us. We must follow these specific rules, this particular process and only then will you be given eternal life in heaven. If you get it wrong, if you dare make a mistake...

have to label myself atheist agnostic and relgious at each of those different times? Or do you think people can be more complex than just a single word to decribe thier entire belief system.

after seeing a guy asking about why muslims pray to moon god since they have signs of moon everywhere i realized the same rule can be applied to the rest 2 abrahamic religions since its very obvious that jews have star of david and christians have corss everywhere

while they all preach about some super being they all in reality are nothing but yet another form of paganism.

this is an amazing finding guys!!!!

I have had chrisians tell me jesus is not god (look at my questions before this for examples). If he is not god then christianity is polytheistic (christianity is following christ). So to be monotheistic and follow one god jesus had to be god. That is what I can to. So you tell me is or god or no, AND TELL WHY.

Last year I did an outreach with my Church to Mexico City..we did it with Matthews 25 ministries. Well anway we lived in a huge garbage dump for 12 days. Everyone brought some skill to help these wonderful people, some nurses, we had 8 doctors, clothing, dentist etc. It's an on going ministry...sort of like tag-team. Well I got to do shoes..WOW...this is so cool! A little girl maybe 9 or 10 came into our camp one morning and she was wearing plastic pop liters for shoes tied on her beautiful feet..the 2 liter kind, I couldn't believe what she was wearing. It was the THRILL of my life to place a new pair of shoes on this little girl. This was the High-light of my LIFE...nothing has ever come close to that moment! Thank you Jesus!

Is God good or WHAT????

MINE :

Christians: Spread the the wisdom of a god that could create the world, and who loves you and everyone irregardless of the choices they make in their lives. A god who damns no one to hell because his son took that punishment away.
Spread the wisdom that Tolerance is the most important thing in dealing with others.
Spread the wisdom that only by living STRICTLY according to the FULL bible with your OWN interpretation of what it means can you hope to become more christ like.

Aethists spread the wisdom that although Religeons can corrupt minds, people start fresh and deserve a chance to have a good life. Spread the love of each moment of life because it could / is the only life we have.

Does this sound like a message anyone would carry and spread?
Sound like a good idea?

An agnostic does not deny the existence of God and heaven but holds that one cannot know for certain whether or not they exist.

If so, then isn't this sort of like enabling? If God wants us all to believe, shouldn't the atheists life be going poorly so they have no choice but to turn to God for help?

This quiz takes less than five minutes. How did you score? I got a 32 on it, not too terrible, I guess, for an atheist.

Why is it that you freaky bible thumbers are so easy to aggrivate.

I mean, serriously, the only difference between us really is that you totally dismiss that Darwin was 100% correct.

You say you believe in the bible but only selectivly believe it (you dont go around killing women or keeping slaves - do you ?)

How can you justify partially believeing in a book?

One of the slogans of modern philosophy is that one can't derive an "ought" from an "is"; in other words, one cannot derive prescriptive statements from descriptive statements. If morality cannot be proven, is morality as illusory, in your opinion, as God?

Many times, I hear Christian apologists refute the omnipotence/benevolence contradiction of God (for some religions) by stating that a loving god would not force us to be safe and happy because he gifted us with free will. When someone points out that a loving god would not willingly condemn those who reject him to Hell, the answer usually leads to: Free will.

Why is free will considered a gift? Why is it considered a gift for someone to "choose" to go to Hell than for God to simply make him a virtuous person? Certainly, I'd be more grateful if I had the latter than the former. It doesn't strike me as a good gift.

So, if you believe that God is loving because he gave us free will, explain why free will is a better gift than guaranteed salvation.

A Christian school is seeking parents' permission for staff to strap students despite corporal punishment in schools being illegal. The school acknowledges the Education Act forbids corporal punishment, but quotes the Bible saying "we ought to serve God rather than men". Parents are given an "authorization" form which says they are aware corporal punishment at school is banned, but will permit school staff to administer it.

The policy says the strap must be given on the palm after consultation with another staff member, and in the presence of that staff member. Afterwards the child is to be spoken to or prayed with, or both.

Is this just another example of how religion is violent and is hell bent on brain-washing children?

Someone had a weak body that was very easy to satisfy with 3 meals a day and marital sex, but another person had extremely strong pedophilic and necrophilic urges, plus strong anti-social behavior and anger towards authority. Both sought salvation and went to Heaven. Does God treat them both equally in Heaven? (the pedonecrophile had to have much more Faith and Will power to get there.)

If the Soul in the weak body had been born in the body with strong sinful urges, it would have gone to hell. God knows this. God knows everything. Why does he still let that person into heaven? Does God let some Souls get lucky by letting them be born into bodies with low libido?
