Good question. Though I don't know the official answer it seems that the vows one would accept are for future actions,not past. (This would be consistant with a God of mercy and grace.) Plus, and I may be off base here, but aren't the vows for celibacy, not purity? I don't mean to sound judgemental at all. Good luck!

Yup, the church has a long history of becoming a haven for wild men and women who've "found the error of their ways." Many genuinely convert after living dangerous lives and seeking purpose. Some just have nowhere else to go.

Yes you can. You can also be a Priest if you've had previous intercourse. It's only afterwards that you must remain chaste.
