There is a plant in Nth. Gabon, West Africa that is very amazing.
The root bark of the Iboga plant is a drug used by the tribes in ceromonies to connect with God. It also has the effect of stopping different addictions in a matter of days with no withdrawl effects.
Its very interesting, there is a web site Mindvox.com that has info about Iboga and there is a story about Adam and Eve and Iboga that is very strange. it is interesting and weid. see what you think.

The ibogaine section of MindVox is huge, it's not linked from their main site though, it is at: http://ibogaine.mindvox.com interesting site.

The article you're talking about is under the Articles button, it's written by Giorgio Samorini who is a well-known/respected psychedelics researcher.

The tree of knowledge of good and evil is a metaphor. There was no actual, physical tree or fruit. When mankind ate the fruit from the tree he became infused with both good and evil. Since evil could not be allowed to corrupt the "garden of God," man had to be put out of it. Since the tree of life was located in the garden man had no further access to it resulting in his death.

The "original sin" or "original transgression" had nothing whatsoever to do with eating a physical fruit such as an apple, and neither did it have anything to do with a physical sexual act.

the tree of knowledge was nothing more then a symbol. a symbol of the knowledge between right and wrong. when adam and even "ate of the fruit" their eyes were opened. this could mean potentially everything, perhaps when they thought for themseleves? when god introduced freedom of choices? its just a symbol anyway. (after all i dont recall the bible saying adam and eve were put here with pen and a note pad to document what happened)

I have never heard that the tree is an iboga. I always heard that it was pomigranite or fig tree.
