Just because we don't know what we'll be doing in the future (thus giving the appearance of "free will"), doesn't mean God, who has seen it all before He made Adam, would consider us endowed with "free will".

We're doing what He has foreseen. And it was always within His power to determine the course of every event. By creating the universe, He knew every event. Had he created a universe with differences, He'd know different events would occur.

So from God's point of view, why would anyone assume we have "free will". Wouldn't that mean we have the power to surprise God with our choices? Or isn't it more likely God's foresight when making the universe included taking into account all our choices and the ways we'd react to each other and the world around us?

In this new religion, everyone gets into heaven. Want to know how, you just be you.

You are a treasure that was created.

You are magnificant.

Morality: If you mess up you still get into heaven, just cut out the cr8p, k.
Belief: Even if you don't believe what the new religion teaches, you still get into heaven.

What shall we call it?

Easter was the celebration of Ishtar the Goddess of sex.
Christmas was Winter Solstice.
Not saying it's not what it is now...Just saying admit what it was and DON’T REFUTE THIS WITHOUT CHECKING IT OUT FIRST or you embarrass yourselves and other Christians.

We "sin" because we're "disobedient to the will of God"? And who gave us the power to disobey? Omniscient God, all-knowing, all-seeing, the God who knew whether we would disobey or not before He created Adam?

And if he hates disobedience so much that he'd promise to throw the disobedient into the lake of fire and brimstone (Rev 21:8), and has promised the obedient an eternity of worshipping Him directly in heaven, why did he create Adam with the power to disobey?

If He wanted an eternity of worship from obedient creatures (which he created specifically for this purpose), why permit disobedience?

Many throughout history have "used" the name of
Christianity to further their cause, be it military, polictical etc. Some attempt to make a reference to these historical figures to somehow prove the lack of credibility of Christanity. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits. Many go as far as to say Adolph Hitler was a good Christian who is typical example of a Christian. Of course that's not being intellectually honest.
Hitler said Christanity was the cancer of humanity on Oct 13 1941. At the same time I believe he is not the typical example of an atheist or agnostic...the truth is, he was a pure evil. It would seem to me that the test of a true Christian would be the fruits...if we see murder, mass killing, war, rape, a fallen pastor etc...we must ask ourselves if they are really a typical example...or a convienent excuse to cast stones at "ALL" Christians. I don't believe your being honest or fair. We could find examples in history of all beliefs..is this fair?

How many mormons does it take to change a light bulb?

I got this joke in an email the other day, and I thought it was hilarious...especially since I'm an LDS because the idea behind it is so true! LOL!

I originally posted this in the Jokes & Riddles category, but nobody there can seem to get it...so I wanted to see if anybody could get it if I posted it here. 10 pts. to the correct answer, or the one closest to it.

What if a person accepted Jesus as their Lord and personal savior. Went to church and was very active. Then one day they decided that they were gay and started to live the life of a gay person. They still believe in the Word of God. Will they go to heaven? The Word says that once we have accpeted Jesus we have eternal life. Life that exists everlastingly.

It is said that Haman will one day rule the Kosher people and bring about a time of darkness and evil. If his evil helper Garth trapped me in a conch shell, would you destroy it to set me free?

I know Easter was originally the celebration of Ishtar and that is why the symbols of fertility (bunnies, eggs, spring, etc) are all a part of it.
