It's an ancient battle stemming from their ancestors Jacob and Esau who were brothers. (Genesis) Jacob stole the birthright blessing from Esau and Esau gave away his birthright to Jacob joking around. Jacob got everything and Esau got nothing so Esau was pissed. They made up years later but their children still held the grudge.

**wow I think this is the only question I have answered seriously**

I could in all honesty argue either side of this matter. Each side has a valid viewpoint. But, being a stronge supporter of Israel---------------. It is a matter of land. Jews (and most Christians) feel that G-d gave this land to the Israelites when they came out of Egypt. It is written in the Holy Scriptures. But, I will admit that the country of Palestine dates back to the days of the Romans.

I am thinking that I read in the Qu'ran that this land was given to the Israelites. I would like for someone to correct me, or confirm that I am right. I have been trying to find it, and do not know where to look.

There is something going around on net ( have gotten the e-mail 3-4 times). People say that the word ''Palestinian'' is a made up word and there was no such word before 1948. The word was made up to denote a people who were from Palestine and wanted a word to use for fighting Israel. I have to laugh at this as before 1948 there was no such word as ''Israeli'', as there was no such modern country as Israel. Is this a made up word too, then?

There is a Mid-east legend that says someday the children of Abraham (of Ishmael and Issac) will stand together in peace and then have to fight together for their rights. Is this what is meant by those who say the end times is coming because of so many disasters, the EU joining together with a common money (the Euro), and etc.,. If only we could see the future------------------.

I hope my spelling is correct as the spell check is not working.

You know, this is a real complex issue and I keep learning more about it all the time. But I just read a book that I think everyone should read, called "Blood Brothers", by Elias Chacour with David Hazard. It gives the side of the Palestinians who were displaced. It shows how hatred grew on both sides and it shows the story of a man who chose a third way---a way of reconciliation. And it's a true story. And he says it way better than I could give you a synopsis of it.

It is a diabolical plot to try and wipe out the Israelis.Of course satan will not prevail. The Arabs has been trying for more than 3000 years and comes of second best every time. One would suppose that they would learn a lesson from history and yet they keep trying. According to Bible prophecies not even Armageddon will destroy the so what is the point of trying. No account for human stupidity.

After the Holacaust, the Arabs welcomed returning Jews to share their homeland which was Palestine.

Soon, the Jews got greedy and decided to take the same land from the Arabs and kicked them out.

Well, if your friend into your home and come home one day to know you can only live in your own backyard, you will kick *** too.

A final note, the landlord (British) decided that they were too broke after WW2 to handle the Jews and Arabs and decided to pull out.

because, the israelites got kicked out of their land as slaves and were taken to egypt, then they were freed by moses and were taken back to the promise land, but it had been taken over by the palestinians o wait are they the same as the arabs you mentioned? whatever, so when after world war II Israel was created, all the palestinians got mad and now they have been fighting ever since.

Because islam asked muslims to fight the jews. Also, because they have something called holy war "jihad".
Note: Christians in Lebanon are against that war
