We "sin" because we're "disobedient to the will of God"? And who gave us the power to disobey? Omniscient God, all-knowing, all-seeing, the God who knew whether we would disobey or not before He created Adam?

And if he hates disobedience so much that he'd promise to throw the disobedient into the lake of fire and brimstone (Rev 21:8), and has promised the obedient an eternity of worshipping Him directly in heaven, why did he create Adam with the power to disobey?

If He wanted an eternity of worship from obedient creatures (which he created specifically for this purpose), why permit disobedience?

Poetic1: Got a verse that says this? I haven't seen one. And even if true, God made Satan and with omniscience knew everything Satan would do. Satan would be nothing more than the instrument of God, the means by which God gave us disobedience.

It's called free will. God didn't want us to obey Him and love Him like a bunch of robots. He wanted us to "choose" that way of life, to choose Him.
I just love it when you all try to refute His Greatness. It just doesn't work but have fun trying if you must.

To your first paragraph the answer is yes...

The Second paragrap you are taking revaltion out of context... Revalation indicates God's action after the Rapture...right now... he will give us every chance.. but when the Rapture occurs those that are left, that refuse to believe after all the jusdgement seals have been broken will no longer have the chance. There will come a time when god says ok.. I have proven to you over and over that I exist and you still deny me, so I will deny you.. That too is in revalation. The same fate will befall anyone that accepts the mark of the beast.

God didn't create Adam with the power to disobey...Eve Ate the Apple after she was deceived by the devil and thereby committing the first sin, she then fed that to Adam, and when God inquired, Adam committed the 2nd sin of lying. So God cast them out of the garden of Eden.. gave eve punishments that are generational (childbirth pain , etc) and gave Adam punishments regarding Tilling the soil, fear of snakes... you can read that all in Genesis..

When God expelled Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, he sent them out with Free will... and a choice.. to believe and follow him or to defy him and suffer the consequesces of being seperated from him for eternity.

God gave Adam freedom by allowing him to have a choice. God does not want a bunch of robots worshiping him. He loves you enough so you can choose. He knew what Adam would do before he created him,and he knew that he would die for three days to pay Adam's penalty. If you choose to disobey you will not be allowed into heaven. You would be dis-obediant there also. So you will be burned up very quickly. No eternal suffering.

God created man in the image of Him. For him to have his own mind and self, He gave him choices. He had the power to stop him from taking the forbidden fruit, and from even making it "forbidden". But doing this gave man "choices". Adam and Eve "chose" to disobey and thus sin came into the Garden of Eden. The lake of fire and brimstone is eternal hell were He "throws" those who do not repent.

Gee Bob, are you saying that maybe God expected us to do some of the things that are labeled as sins, in the hope that we would understand that we did not want to create negativity by repeating these same mistakes over and over in the future. Perhaps He even provides these opportunities for us in the hope that we might learn something?

This would have to mean that God actually loved us unconditionally, and had our best interest in mind 24/7. Could this actually be true?

But Bob this completely pulls the rug out from under the whole good people bad people idea. With out the bad people who would we have to be better than?

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Love and blessings

when God created adam and eve, He told them to eat from any tree in the garden, except the tree of knowledge, for if they did they would surelly die. it wasn't a death of the body, but of the spirit. He gave them directions, just as He gives us directions today. He gave them free will and the ability to choose. they chose to deny God's direction. one thing God places above all things is obedience. when we choose to disobey, there are always consequences. and not all who disobey, will be thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone. first God will judge, He has everyone's name in the judgment book and He will judge you according to your life and how you lead it. some of the people that now disobey will change their ways, and repent and ask God for forgiveness and He will remove the scales from their eyes, so they will see the greatness of God before the rapture and will be judged accordingly. for even today God, still gives us all the opportunity to accept Him and choose to live for Him. evil will eventually be overthrown, for there can be only one God. He knows that there are those who will change their ways, which is why we don't know when Jesus will be coming, He's omnipotent enough and loves us enough to find and believe the truth of Christ's coming. for it is written that wide is the way to damnation and many will find it, but narrow is the way to rightousness and few will find it. He's giving those of us enough time to find the narrow path, and not be thrown into the lakes of fire. God loves us all and whiches for as many of us as possible to find the way to rightousness. may you let Jesus know that you believe and allow Him to touch your heart, so you will find the narrow road.

first you need to understand exactly what sin is; it's turning away from God, period.
Also, to understand worship you have to be someone who has experienced the power of worship. To worship God in spirit and in truth is to be filled with joy indescribable.
I cannot answer your questions but know taht you would know if you KNEW worship. Pray if you can, and ask God to reveal to you how to worship Him. Blessings...

God didn't create disobedience, that was Satan's department, and that was a side effect from pride, and arrogance.

Those who conform their will to God's get to be happy with him in heaven for eternity.

Those who refuse, get to be with all like minded souls, in that other place, for all eternity.

You can't have it both ways. The two are totally incompatible.

God's elect are compatible with him. The others are not.

But I bet they will someday wish they were!

my intention is to obey no one but myself. i am a clever enough person, i don't need someone else to tell me what is right or wrong and control my every action. this god you speak of exists in different forms in different religions; how can just one be right? what's right is open-mindedness, generosity, peace, love and humanism. the rest is bullshit.
