I say absolutely, yes. Any "religion" that tells you if you don't believe what I tell you to believe than you are not going to heaven is a cult.

can anyone give me examples and/or direct quotes from any christian that has been allegedly forcing christianity down their throat and/or have been harassing them to change their way of life because a lot of people here say that's what they do but it sounds like they're lying or using that as an excuse for something. If that were to happen it would probably be from a person who is corrupt and uses the title christian falsely. If anything they are merely following one of Jesus's commandments to preach to the world the good news to save people, and if they dont it's a form of selfishness if they keep it to themselves which is very bad and could be subject to punishment.
I just want proof of these claims( without someone avoiding the question and focusing on something else i just said).

Do you get a lot of flak for reading cards? Just curious - are you male or female? And a little off topic, but do you think it's wrong to read tarot cards for yourself?

I'm a Christian and I've heard that yoga is really fun and empowering but I'm not sure how it would relate to Christianity. Alot of it is about focusing on yourself, and I was wondering if as a Christian you can do that?

In this text, Peter asks Jesus how he could allow any to suffer in Hell. Jesus tells him that all are saved, even those in hell, if they just repent. Funny how this one was excluded by the council of Nicea isn't it?

I've been studying Taoism philosophically for years, but I haven't come across much information about Taoism as a religion. I know it has something to do with rituals and exercises, but I'm curious to find out what they involve.

What is the theological stance of Jewish theologians (citing sources, please, if possible) regarding the Fall of Adam and Eve? Does it represent a fault particular to them? Or is it something which transmits from generation to generation? Also, is it something that the Messiah will redeem or "fix," or is it simply something that humanity must live with until the end of time? Just wondering if the Jewish take on it was different than the Christian one.

Are they expecting to evoke some kind of emotional response from us? I think these people should start worrying about what they are doing here, if more did that, heaven would take care of itself.

I was a practicing Christian for over 30 years.

I am an atheist as the result of studying the issue and concluding there is no credible evidence supporting God belief. And, that the bible is a book of mythology.

I was born into a family that attended a Baptist church and was raised to be a Baptist. Until my later years, I never seriously questioned by faith or beliefs. I asked questions about the bible, but those were unrelated to my faith. I have read the bible more than once.

As an adult, "blind faith" is unsustainable. Which led me to seriously and critically study the issue for many years before reaching the conclusions that I have.

Why did you choose the religious beliefs or non-beliefs that you hold?

Towards the What should I do moron? Afterall, he's just trying to have a little fun, and open our minds (to blatent stupidity). Why would you want him to be kicked off forever? That's not very nice. For shame. He's not hurting anyone is he? The internet is not a dump truck, it's a series of tubes: Is his fat avatar clogging up those tubes like the arteries he has which must be clogged up with cholesterol? I don't think so. So why should we hate? We should love the What Should I Do Retard. Looooooooooove

You’re driving down the road and hit a tree. Your car bursts into flames, door swings open, and you’re free. Black smoke billows from the car and flames shoot all over the place. You look back, your children are trapped in the car, can’t escape. They’re screaming mummy, mummy save me. Their little faces and hands are pressed against the window, their hair burning, they look into your eyes and scream mummy help me.

There’s a huge bang, you suddenly awaken and jump up in bed. What a horrible nightmare. The kids are laughing and playing downstairs. They just dropped the popcorn pan.

How did you feel in your nightmare. Would you try and save your children. Could you accept the mental pain if you didn’t try? Do you honestly believe if God genuinely existed he would ban some of his children to Hell and just watch them burn and suffer for eternity without trying to save them?

How could any decent person believe in a religion that promotes such an idea?

I mentioned that I was reading a book about Buddism and one lady almost bit my head off!!!! I was raised a Christian but I think lots of other religions have something to teach us. What's the big deal -- does that make me a bad Christian?

There is NOTHING in the New Testament that says that you must also:
*Hate gays
*Fight for elimination of people's RIGHT to choose who they are and what they think
*Kill abortion doctors and bomb clinics, or support people who do
*Demand the death penalty for just about anything that irritates you (Jesus was real pointed and direct on this issue, if you recall) if you're going to be pro-life, don't be hypocritical about it!!
*Cheer for foreign wars just because it makes great after-church TV
*condemn everyone who is intellectual enough to UNDERSTAND and clearly follow real objective science. (the Earth is NOT 6500 years old!)

YOU have twisted the message of Jesus into something ugly and sinister.

Anyone got a good definition?

It's a hypothetical.

What would it take for you to conclude that god does not exist?

What would you have to see?
What would have to happen?

Is there *anything at all* that would cause you to lose faith in your god?

How do we know that an experience is God?

How do we define it?

Is experience of God more than a feeling? Is it out-of-the-ordinary experience, or is it something like love?

Does deep experience of God come only through meditation/prayer, or does it sometimes come unexpectedly, or in times of deep emotion?

For you, personally, what is experience of GOD?
