You’re driving down the road and hit a tree. Your car bursts into flames, door swings open, and you’re free. Black smoke billows from the car and flames shoot all over the place. You look back, your children are trapped in the car, can’t escape. They’re screaming mummy, mummy save me. Their little faces and hands are pressed against the window, their hair burning, they look into your eyes and scream mummy help me.

There’s a huge bang, you suddenly awaken and jump up in bed. What a horrible nightmare. The kids are laughing and playing downstairs. They just dropped the popcorn pan.

How did you feel in your nightmare. Would you try and save your children. Could you accept the mental pain if you didn’t try? Do you honestly believe if God genuinely existed he would ban some of his children to Hell and just watch them burn and suffer for eternity without trying to save them?

How could any decent person believe in a religion that promotes such an idea?

You are absolutely right. Why would a God who so loves us then send us to hell for eternity? He wouldn't. It's a lie that is now being perpetuated by ignorant bigots who are really just religious fanatics. The bible was written by MEN. Don't forget that.

Have been looking at your questions and you really have a bone to pick with God and his followers don't you?
God is just, that means he has to punish sin.
He did when Jesus took it all on the cross, He took all of the sin of the world.
If someone puts their trust in Jesus as Saviour then they are let off scot free, isn't that more than generous? If they reject that idea and carry on enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season then Hell is their reward.
So the individual can decide where they want to go.

That's an excellent metaphor. You have the answer right there. I'm looking at my children burning and I'd give my own life to rescue them. Why? Because they want to be saved. Let's say they didn't know there was going to be crash. Some children might be peaceful and obedient sitting quietly. Others might be trying to snatch money from the mom's purse or trying to pull a prank that may cause a crash. Same thing w/ people on earth. Do you want to be saved? or Do you want to lead a path of destruction?

P.S. - The outcome depends on what they do and who they are.

You know a friend and trust them. You have them babysit your children. Later you find out he raped your 5 year old daughter many times and when he finds out you know he brutally tortures you and them and then kills all. What kind of judge would not punish this man with just punishment. Shall the judge of all the earth do less. What kind of silly god do you want? One that lets people do anything? God has set the law and also shown great mercy in Jesus to forgive even great sin. No more could have been done than that.

The first people on earth separated themselves from God by choosing to follow evil instead of good. Unfortunately this affected all the rest of us because we are all their descendants. It was never what God wanted but rather what Satan wanted and the human race was tempted to choose.
God didn't just abandon the human race in it's lost condition, he sent a Savior. This is what the gospel (good news) is about;
God sent his Son, who was both 100% man but also different from the rest of us in that he was sinless, because God was his father and not "Adam". Many people had tried to overcome the problem of sin, but everyone had part in the same sinful nature and therefore sinned and died.
Jesus, however, was both sinless and still "one of us", and so he could do what no one else had managed; he took upon himself to every ones sin and suffered on our behalf the punishment of death. But, then when he had died, his spirit, because it was without sin, could not "be held" in the place called death or hell. Jesus rose back to life and because he did this for us, it became possible for everyone who believes in him, to also be free from death and be re-united with God by faith in Jesus.

the dream interprets in many ways, you just choose one. where is your own thinking. that dream can mean you have a choice and a good answer from that dream is the children will go to god for he doesn't send children to hell they are to young to truly know. that dream can mean be cautious, the dream can mean pay more attention to the children's needs. that dream can mean life has a ending. i had such a dream only it involved a small passenger plane and little babies needing saved. i couldn't save all of them. innocent babies. while outside the plane people stood there and didn't help. how do you think that made me feel and yet i have faith and a belief in Christ. where is that wrong?

Yes, He will! If they are your children, you should love them enough to teach them the truth. How could any decent person not?
Is it better to teach them that they can get away with anything they want and never have to ask forgiveness? One should teach their children, that there are consequences for everything that they do. Some of those consequences are good, and some are bad.
What better way to get this across, than with the ultimate consequences to good and bad behavior: Heaven and Hell?

To go along with your analogy, at some point, those children are going to grow up. And say one of them starts drinking in excess and becomes an alcoholic. You can say all you want to them about how they're ruining their life and they need to stop. But we have something called free will. As a parent, if this happens to you, and your child will not listen, you have no choice but to watch them kill themselves, essentially. This could be from liver failure, a car accident or just emotionally. I think our Heavenly Father is in the same positon. He has given us free will and he does everything he can under the circumstances to guide us in the right direction. But when one of His children chooses evil over Him, he is forced, through the laws of free will and justice to watch, in misery as His child puts him or herself in Hell. I think Hell is a state of mind that is chosen by the actions of the individual. It is a necessary, albeit painful consequence of choice.

God won't send you to hell IF you believe everything that religious people say, and IF you give lots of money to TV evangelists (such as Don Stewart, Joyce Meyer) and IF you support Pat Robertson and others who support a Christian president who invades non-Christian countries on the pretense of looking for weapons.

No you won't go to Hell ... IF you do all of that, you can sit in a comfortable church and enjoy good music and listen to people talk about prosperity and blessings and all sorts of other things as they deliver elaborate stories based on myths, just as long as you keep giving lots of $$$.

And as long as you say "yes" to everything you are told to believe, you will always be welcome in the church. Otherwise, you will be treated like Lucifer and kicked out and ridiculed and become the target of bigotry -- in the name of a loving God.
