I am starting to read the bible again and trying to start praying again. I am a severe back-sliding christian trying to come back after about 7 years away. Actually, I only went to church for about 2 years after I accepted Christ. When God says "I will send you the Holy Spirit to help you" is that the same as like what Syliva Brown refers to as "your spirit guide"????I got caught up and fascinated with all of this psychic and paranormal stuff and Sylvia always reads and talks about us all having spirit guides so is the talking about the Holy Spirit??????I'm trying very hard to figure all this stuff out. Thank you.

There are many very nice and caring christian people I have personally met and befriended so this is not a stereo type or generalization, however, My question is; Does any believer actually realize that maybe not all people want to be told "I will pray for you?" That makes me feel like the person stating this is better than me and has a better remedy for a negative situation than I do. The truth be told they really do not, but I still feel as if it is a straigth up insult. Maybe the question could be asked such as "Would you like me to pray with you or for you" but this has never happened EVER. My question is for the believer, have you once ever considered this could come across as an insult? If not, WHY? Not everyone in this world has the same beliefs.

Why do Christians do not believe that Catholics are not really Christians when Jesus reveled him self to Catholic saints in the pass?

I'm not talking about everyone here, but there are many who find it amusing to jeer and mock people in R&S. Not to mention, when they do that, and they don't leave any way for you to reply, then they really make cowards of themselves.

Why can't we be better people in general, no matter what theology we follow or not? Especially when we're talking about R&S.

Are there people who would like to see R&S become a kinder place on the 'net? Is this too much to ask for?

I I'm gonna catch flack for this. Bombs away.

I met a nice Christian guy in yahoo answers and now we are living together. He was a former homosexual. The problem is that everytime
before sex when I kiss with passionately--he vomits. I asked him--why?
He told that he ate something bad. But I suspect that the homosexual
demons haven't yet left him. Two days ago one of his buddie came(who happens to be his ex-sex partner but now a saved Christian) and I discussed the problem with him. I suggested that maybe we french and see the effect. That guy also vomited after the kiss. Now I am really disturbed by the incidents and feeling that the guys should be kept apart for the time-being. Please, any suggestion.

I know this sounds dumb, but some christian said G-d is like cherry pie. Cut it in three and there are three slices, but the insides are all one because cherry pie is gooey and doesnt stiffen into the shape you cut. So if christians see G-d as cherry what flavors would you say other religions are?

Christ was always saying, he who has ears to hear. let him hear.....Of course he was talking about, hearing spiritually.

Then, in the book of Revelations, John's vision of Christ has instructions for the churches in Asia and he finishes with, he who has ears to hear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the churches.

What do you think the spirit is saying to the Christian Church today?

Will all people who don't follow your religion be doomed for eternal hell assuming they will not "accept jesus as their lord and savior?" Will they go to hell even if they were really wonderful people on this earth?

Reality comes from knowledge, and knowledge comes from God. God is not in existence, and neither is knowledge, nor reality.

I would wish you peace today
But peace is not mine to give
I will wish you joy for now
And life to share and live.
Remember it takes rain too
To nourish flowers and seeds
The sun will shine tomorrow
And flowers poke through the weeds.
Life is filled with wonder
With pain and tears as well.
How can we appreciate Heaven,
Without a taste of Hell?
I send to you my love.
Please know it's from my heart.
Remember that the darkness
Is simply another part.
Peace to you today love.
Joy and friendship too.
I wish you happiness.
And love and laughter true.
I wish I could carry your pain
And take all sorrow away.
Please know you're not alone.
You're in my prayers today.
Debra M.

Given both of our reputations, who do you think is telling the truth? Do any of the things he claims I e-mailed look like my typing style? Do you think his god will forgive him for harboring adulterous thoughts in his heart, coveting his neighbor's wife, and baring false witness against her?

(In case you can't tell, I've moved beyond anger into amusement at this point. This guy is such a cowardly little sh*t it's downright hilarious.)

Seriously. And I'm not asking how to find faith again. I've spent most of my life as a Christian and find that I really don't have any faith left because of things that have happened to me. I'm not looking for another religion. I want to know how people live if they don't believe in anything. What do you do with your time?

How low should the top be? How tight? what's the length limit on her skirt, how fitted should the trousers be?
Does it make a difference what body type she has or are all cloths one size fits all?
Don't you think it should be a general rule that really attractive women with really nice bodies should wear potato sacks, no make-up and not bother to wash or fix their hair...... thoughts?

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!
6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky

Or does praying over them help?
What if she has deformed breasts from nursing babies otherwise?

Is plastic surgery an official "sin" or an unofficial sin?

Also, What do you think about Christian women who get a nose job? What if her nose was really deformed and ugly before, she can't get back her old nose...so does this just mean God will punish her with a huge nose in heaven?
