If the books of the bible were voted on by the a group of bishops , some were included some were rejected, how can this be the voice of god if man decided?
If god worked through the bishops to select which books of the bible why did he not work through all the bishops and not just some?
if he did work through some of the bishops why did he select a bishop to vote for a "true" book in one vote then get him to vote and lose in the next vote on a book?
Did god lose a vote ( and thereby there is a false book in the bible) or was the bishop then abandoned by god to make a mistake in the next vote?

Kill Priests of Other Religions

Then Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people that they would be the LORD's people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people. And all the people of the land went over to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They demolished the altars and smashed the idols to pieces, and they killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. Jehoiada the priest stationed guards at the Temple of the LORD. Then the commanders, the Carite mercenaries, the guards, and all the people of the land escorted the king from the Temple of the LORD. They went through the gate of the guards and into the palace, and the king took his seat on the royal throne. (2 Kings 11:17-19 NLT)

Whoever spoils his son will bind up his wounds, and will suffer heartache at every cry. An unbroken horse turns out stubborn, and an unchecked son turns out headstrong.

Pamper a child, and he will terrorize you; play with him, and he will grieve you. Do not laugh with him, or you will have sorrow with him, and in the end you will gnash your teeth. Give him no freedom in his youth, and do not ignore his errors. Bow down his neck in his youth, and beat his sides while he is young, or else he will become stubborn and disobey you, and you will have sorrow of soul from him. Discipline your son and make his yoke heavy, so that you may not be offended by his shamelessness. (Sirach 30:7-13 NRS)

Is the concept of divinity different within religions that emerged among less nomadic, more temperate (watered) cultures? Does the warrior culture of nomadic peoples effect the image of God as taking sides in battles?

The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: 'Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

When the Lord has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel and settles them on their own soil, the aliens will join them and be counted with the house of Jacob. The house of Israel will take them and bring them along to its place, and possess them as male and female slaves on the Lord's soil, making captives of its captors and ruling over its oppressors. (Isaiah 14:1-2 NAB)

Some people use it as a lull in your spiritual when you're not growing in Christ. Is this what it is?

I believes the keys are in these verses.
15 He said to them, "But whom say ye that I AM?".
16 & Simon Peter answered & said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
17 & Jesus answered & said to Hhim, "Blessed are you Simon Barjona: for flesh & blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father in Heaven.
18 & I say also to you, That thou are Peter (Petros, piece of rock), & upon this Rock (Petra, mass of rock, fem.) I will build my church; & the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
19 & I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: & whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: & whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they shouldn't tell anyone that He was Jesus the Christ.

Who has the keys?

When you look up in the sky at night, and see those balls of burning gas called stars, and you think about all those planets revolving around those stars, do you think god created life out there? Or are we so damn special that we are god's one and only spoiled race?

If we are alone, then all that space out there sure is a waste.

"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

or this part about muslims`s morning prayer
"do not go back to sleep there are secrets in the morning breez"

As salt resolved in the ocean
I was swallowed in God's sea,
Past faith, past unbelieving,
Past doubt, past certainty.
Suddenly in my bosom
A star shone clear and bright;
All the suns of heaven
Vanished in that star's light.

Happy the one who has become like us;
who has become all surrender and contenment;
Who has become the pledge of love and madness;
who has become a jewel in the sea of purity.

Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.

Why is it that Biblical literalists need absolutely everything about evolution to be a proven fact before they can accept it, yet it doesn’t go the same way with their Bible? One bit of evidence from one book of their Bible proves the entire thing true for them! Why don’t they need every sentence written in their Bible to be proven true like every step in evolution? They don't need theory of gravity spelled out for them either, and they're not floating off the earth.

“Faith” is not an appropriate answer to this question because it is not an appropriate answer in support of evolution.

I am so sick of Biblical literalists asking for evolution to be proved to them, when they first of all won’t take the time to learn for themselves. Also, if they weren’t so eager to keep evolution out of the science classroom, then they would know these answers. Why do they ask these questions, but they don’t want to learn the answers?
