The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: 'Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

Well, he needs to be Jewish, seen by 2 Jewish male adult witnesses, who warned him to stop, and he acknowledged the warning, and can only be killed by a court, that has the direct line of ordination from Moses, which was stopped by the Romans, and also only when the Court of 71 Sages is on the Temple Mount.

There are plenty of Old Testament laws that were later voided through the New Covenant. Many Old Testament rules were even dropped by modern Jews.. Have you ever noticed that Jews don't sacrifice animals to get rid of their sins?

O.....K.....physco! let me guess....your going to blow up buildings next?Stop and think what your saying. You are trying to interpret the Bible.Lot's of people try it and fail because the Bible has been translated to many times and each person puts there own spin on it. I think God is Loving, and all forgiving to the ignorant who don't know any better.I don't need to go to a church to pray and give money.I believe God can hear me where ever I am, no matter how low I pray or where I pray.

that only aplyed to the jews, before the comming of christ. as christians did not exsit till after the the death and resurection or christ this does not aply to christians. we work on saturday (saturday is the sabbath day) and worship on sunday. the day that christ rose from the dead.
why dont you put the whole context in your questions? if you did you would prove your self wrong.

well, if your in the field of medicine, its a mikvah that you work whenever needed, even on the sabbath, so that exempts me. As for everyone else, really only ultra orthodox jews follow this law. In US, it is very difficult to follow all of the rules of the Sabbath due to the way that we live. As far as death being a punishment, I think you are taking the OT to literally. I havent heard of anyone being struck down for working on the Sabbath.
