Limbo was suggested as the place where unbaptized babies went when they died. This idea was never official Church doctrine and has be rejected.
The church now says that it is not sure what happens to unbaptized babies when they die but she entrusts them to the mercy of God.
With love in Christ.

There is no proof that Limbo exists. There are two types of Limbo. The Limbo of the Fathers and the Limbo of Children. The former was for good persons who lived before the Savior. Jesus referred to someone in Abraham's bosom. Limbo of Children is not an official church doctrine, although many Catholics think it is. The church say that the fate of children is unknown, but to rely on the mercy of God.

Limbo was really more of an explanation than anything. It was originally meant as an explanation of what happens to otherwise good people who die without baptism, such as infants and remote people who had not been evangelized.
It was not a 'bad' place, but a place where complete happiness could not be acheived, since the only thing it lacked was the beatific vision. ( Seeing God face to face) That in the Bible is reserved for believers.
Now, the Church teaches that we leave these people to the Mercy of God- since it is only through His Mercy that ANYONE gets into Heaven!

Thou shell listen 5 days a week lest thou go to hell.

most religions are off a bit, that's why they are all different a bit, they all should be the same considering there's only one God. The only limbo is here on earth if your stuck here as a spirit, there's hell, Heaven... considered the new world

Limbo bimbo, who cares. It's what's on earth that counts. Have you ever heard at a funeral, " remember man that thou are dust and you shall return to dust". You live you die. thats all.
