One hundred years from now
It won't matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my clothes looked like
BUT
The world may be a little better
Because I was important
In the life of a child.

This too shall pass
Ok, sorry but it was funny.
How about telling them that they are shaping the llives of future doctors, lawyers, maybe even a president. That every student they come across will grow into adulthood one day and be the people that are running our world. It's an awesome responsibilty, just like being a parent is an awesome responsibility

"Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:23-26

My sister told be this when I was talking about how I was scared to start teaching
"Remember they are only teenagers"
It actually helped a lot. It made going into the classroom less scary. They aren't as complicated or as scary as they seemed, they are just teenagers like I was once.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
