Everyone has to be right. Mormons are right. Jehovah's Witnesses are right. It is because whatever the belief...they have to be right because that is what they believe.

They believe Catholics lost the way. In fact, I just learned while answering another question that some Catholics don't believe other Catholics are true Christians! It's all a matter of which rules they follow and if they allow revisions or new translations of the Bible. And most people have a version of the Bible that is 'real' and all others are not. Just ask anyone with a King James version about the NIV and they'll laugh their fool heads off.

The word catholic means an universal church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I think the question should have referred to Roman Catholics.
As for Roman Chatholics (having been one about 50 years ago) they do not make Jesus the main focus of their beliefs. They think the only way to get to Jesus and therefore to God is through Mary and the saints.
Also, if saints are so revered I do not understand why the bodies of them are dug up and taken apart to be placed in a church that has their name.

I'm an ex-Catholic and ex- Christian. Those characters in the Bible, namely the apostles of Jesus, were neither Catholic nor Christian. They may have been Jews.
I believe Catholics are not Christian because Catholics worship Mary and saints. The rosary, in fact is dedicated to Mary and saints. Some misguided Catholics, in fact practice idolatry by praying to statues and other icons.
Christians only worship Jesus Christ.

First off, the only ones who say he "revealed himself" are the "dead catholic saints." So, its a little "funny" about THAT. Secondly, Catholics are just as much Christian as Baptist's, Assembly of God or any other denomination. In my opinion, they are ALL wrong. God himself says, "small is the path" and "few finding it" and I don't think that 2 billion "Christians" is a "few." Sorry. So that means that MOST are NOT DOING what the Bible says, and we know this by their corrupt practices. They simply do not do what Christ Jesus TAUGHT. For one thing, they MIX in politics, Christ did NOT. They follow holidays, Christ did NOT. They cheat on taxes and their wives and husbands, Christ did NOT. They find it easy to mock and belittle others of different faiths and religious beliefs, CHRIST DID NOT.
Christ allowed THOSE WHO SOUGHT HIM OUT to find him, he didn't spend his time berating the "general public" for their lapses in judgment. He didn't mock those who were "different" and the ONLY TIME he was ever ANGRY was when HIS FATHERS HOUSE was being abused by "money lenders and salesmen." BIG DIFFERENCE from today's "CHRISTIANS." So, Jesus said "YOU CANNOT GO TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THRU ME." Yet, Catholics pray to "saints" for intercession. WHY? No ONE and I mean NO ONE can go to god, "except thru Christ Jesus." So praying to Mary and Saints is a waste of time IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS!
Also, NO MAN like a priest can ever, ever forgive your sins. PERIOD. EVER. Only GOD HIMSELF can forgive sins. So, ONLY GOD is worthy of forgiving our sins, not some "man."

Catholics can be Christians as long as they are born again, and confess there sins to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. There are many different religions, it boils down to getting saved.

i belive they are Christians but the Bible says not to idol worship, and Catholics worship the Virgin Mary. There are other things too. And Catholothism isn't the oldest branch, just plain Christianity is.

See people, Mr. Mister is an epitome of what a true Christian is. But hey, Mr. Mister, can you show me the document that the pope supposedly signed? In a world of reason, proof is what gives merit not a foaming mouth.

I think the opposite is actually more true - that Catholics feel protestants don't qualify as Christians. I think Catholicism tends to place a greater emphasis on ritual and formality when the relationship with Christ is what really matters most. That doesn't mean they aren't Christian, they just have a different way of expressing their faith.

I think the answer to that is because Catholics belive in worshiping and praisng the Virgin Mary...She not our Savior Jesus is and God has given him to us and her! ..another reason i think is because the seem to pray to the saints!

I think it has something to do with Idolatry, transubstantiation, incorporating pagan rituals, beliefs and philosophy into the 'religion' , insulting, and murdering, Christians of other dominations and introducing dogma where none is authorized by the bible. But I might be wrong.
