We live to create future usefulness for the universe. The 'nothing' is full of energy. From that nothing, we create structure to battle Entropy. Life is the anti-entropy. The reality is the ratio between what we create, and what we consume. If we live without a Net Creative usefulness, then we actually live a negative existence, not just nothing.
God is the essential idea of 'creator'. We are in that image if we choose to be. Reality exists whether we want it to or not. What we choose to do with it will determine if our species is sustainable.

Your first statement is a correct view. We do not exist in the terms you phrased it.
Secondly, knowledge does not come from God. And god do exist now until he dies. Even then reality continue to exist as it does now.

Simply put God does exist in everything we do...God makes us to live and God makes us to die.God is the ultimate energy of all universes , a human face cannot be put on God .God tells us to go out and learn .
As for reality we all create our own. With the guidance of God.

From dust we came and to dust we shall return.
Ah - but the soul is eternal.
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
May I submit the postulation that love is the one force that transcends it all.
It's the only thing we came in here with.
It's the only thing we're leaving with.
Jesus ties it all together:
John 17:24 .... for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Our bodies are created from the earth and to the earth they will return, is correct .
Reality does NOT come from knowledge. We create our own reality. Whatever we want it to be - within reason.
