Come to the table and savor the sight, the wine and the bread that was broken. All have been welcomed to come as the might The one that provides them is true, to accept and know him is all we must do. Taste of the glory and savor the sorrow. The hand that is breakingi the bread soon will be broken. He's prepared for you the bread of forgiveness and the wine of release. The Savior wants you to join in the feast.

El-Shaddai - Almighty God
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." Psalm 150:6

"Praise The Lord! Praise The Lord, O my soul! I will praise The Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have being." (Psalm 146:1-2 RSV)
"Praise The Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for He is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars, He gives to all of them their names." (Psalm 147-1-4 RSV)

"Praise The Lord! Praise The Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels, praise Him, all His host! Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you shining stars!" (Psalm 148:1-3 RSV)

I have tried LSD, Mushrooms and Peyote several times and many of my experiences could be classified as spiritual in nature.

Being part Native American, I got involved with these substances after learning about my families heritage and ancient religious practices. I admit I have also used these substances in a recreational fashion.

I am curious to hear from others who have experienced the same thing and if the experiences have strengthened or weakened your spiritual beliefs..particularly Christian folk.

My experiences brought me to the conclusion that western religions are a complete fabrication by man and has no basis in reality. I have however gained a respect for the way our brains work. Everyone should obliterate reality at least one time in their life.

I've seen a couple of questions about why atheists ask questions here? Is there some reason that this forum would exclude certain ideals, for lack of a better word?

When He says “come up hither”, in Revelation 4:1. But you can't find the word "rapture" in the Bible? Ah, but I can in the Catholic Bible. In the Latin Vulgate by Jerome who when he got to I Thessalonians 4:17 talks about the dead in Christ rising first and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with the dead to meet the Lord in the air. And there he used the word “rapiamore” – which is “raptured”. BUT THE SECOND COMING AND RAPTURE ONLY CAN HAPPEN AFTER THE YEAR 2000, WHY?...BECAUSE...GOD CREATED THE WORLD IN 6 DAYS AND RESTED ON THE SEVENTH, A DAY IN GODS EYES IS LIKE A THOUSAND YEARS...WHICH MEANS THAT CHRIST WILL RETURN AFTER 6 DAYS OR 6 THOUSAND YEARS...FROM ADAM UNTIL CHRIST- FOUR THOUSAND YEARS OR 4 DAYS
CHRIST TO YEAR 2000- TWO THOUSAND YEARS OR 2 DAYS
SO THAT WOULD EQUAL 6 DAYS AND COULD GO ANYWHERE FROM THE YEAR 2000- 20012..And the final year of the millennial week would be the 1000 year reign of Christ with the saints..= THE 7TH DAY OR 7,000 YEARS

I am not talking about only one denomination or style of worship. I am speaking of accepting that we are all part of the Christian Community. Can we not accept that although we have our differences we are ONE in CHRIST? I truly hope and pray so.

Seriously, not to make fun or anything, but someone told me that Noah, I think, lived for 700 years or something. Do people really believe that?

Each of us will one day wake up in our bed, and not go back to sleep in it.

Why? Because we'll have died that day.

If you don't believe me, ask anyone born before 1890. Oh wait, you can't, because they're DEAD!

I'm not putting down those who believe in the Rapture, but aren't you more afraid of the day your heart will stop beating, and you'll lose feeling in your body, from your feet, and slowly right on up to your eyes? Just like Socrates (and others) described?

That's enough of a rapture in my book. . .who really cares about the rest of the world. . .what did they ever do for ANY of us?

Does anyone else believe that even if the rapture is a fact, death is a far, far more relevant fact for each of us to prepare for?

If you disagree, tell me this: If I die tonight, what will a Rapture next month do for me?

Thanks in advance!

I wasn't hostile to you, show me the same courtesy.

I've just closed this question, where many believers claimed they have a right not to respect me as an unbeliever:

Don't most of these answers entitle me to work as hard as I can, to defeat religions, since they're trying so hard to convert unbelievers? Why? Why not?

The leaders in the past were not stupid they knew the population would grow in mass over the centuries. Do you think that they created an image, a figure if you will, that fed on peoples emotions, to help control the population. Put guidlines ( The Ten Commandments ) as general rules for people to follow?

I do read the Bible and I believe in Christ but I am a Catholic who was raised Protestant. I am wondering if the Holy Spirit helps you to understand the Bible then why are there so many different interpretations? Could it just be we have different syles of worship and prayer, yet still serve the same Lord?

I am in the process of building this website for Christians seeking the truth. It will eventually feature an advice column, debates about different Christian doctrine, and Bible discussions and weekly devotions. As a Christian, or a person interested in Christianity, what is your opinion on this website: (besides the website appearance)
